Summary

The end to his story has already been written…

Brad Steel made a promise to his wife and children - to create a legacy born from his love for them and his desire to protect them from harm. It was a worthy ambition…

But along the way, something went terribly wrong.

Daphne Steel loves her husband beyond measure and will stand by him no matter what, even when it's more than she can deal with. She escapes when she must, still always putting Brad and their children first.

Mysteries deepen, secrets are unveiled, and Brad vows to continue to protect his family at all costs. But is the price too high? The lies and misdeeds get easier and easier, until he descends to a place he swore he'd never go.

There's no turning back, though, and his actions have consequences - for those he did everything to protect.

Tying Up Loose Ends

The final installment in Brads Trilogy and we get a lot of answers to questions that have gone unknown throughout the entire series, and it is an epic series! As always, in this series, there were plenty of twists & turns but you'll not be disappointed when you reach the end. As ever in this series the performance was excellent.

I expected this would be the final book in the series but I was wrong so I'll now happily make my way over to my Library to begin a fresh installment in the Steel family's life!

OMG so depressing!

Well I knew that this book would be hard to finish and would leave me broken and that is what it did. If you have read the whole Steele Brothers saga then you know this book won’t end well. I knew too but had to hear it anyway. Just a warning this is not one of those books that will break your heart and put it back together. It just breaks your heart and then it’s over. Helen Hardt is a brilliant writer and Teddy Hamilton and Laurie West did a phenomenal job with the narration but this one will leave me with a book hangover for sure. Maybe I should have skipped this trilogy, my heart wasn’t ready for this.

OMG

I loved all 16 books so far. This one was the saddest. The loss of so many. The forgiveness and horrible understanding of all that happened. Knowing some of the background insight was scary but enlightening for this listener. Brad and Daphne Steel had a love that lasted a lifetime and beyond. The realization of her childhood trauma was so expected but I didn't want to believe it. Tom, Larry and Matthias were in fact the devils incarnate. Windy Maddagan was a soul in love, lust, revenge and finally hate. she deserved what she got. I've listened to Awaking and waiting for the last 2 books. I love the Steel saga. Please keep it coming.

What an Awesome Ending

That was one of the best endings to a book series that I have ever read. She did a great job wrapping it all up and making you feel like all your questions were answered. I’m so sad it all over but I enjoyed every minute of this series. Definitely one of my all time favorites.

Always so good!!!!

I always start these books and think to myself there is no way she can keep this story going and make it as good as the previous ones. She always proves me wrong. I love this series, and at the end of this book I feel like there were so many questions that had finally been answered! Well done!

OMG!!!

The story of Brad & Daphne, by far is my favorite. Helen Hardt, is very good at these series. Brad, was a good man, he took on the job of protecting Daphne, from the very beginning and then fell in love with her he never waivered from doing that and he loved her til the very end. George, did try to make a mends by letting Maisy, go and faking his death to help Brad, and putting things in place for him. I love their story!!❤❤❤ Laurie. West, and Teddy Hamilton, did a Fantastic job narrating! Helen Hardt, you have a lifelong fan, I love your work!!
