About this listen

Welcome to Demon Reform Academy, where demons are sent to hone their powers and become active members of supernatural society.

The Fates had dealt me a twisted hand. After a lifetime of abuse aimed at awakening a power I never even possessed, I devoured my mother's soul. Suddenly, I was face-to-face with a father who was oblivious to my existence and burdened with the knowledge that I was the sixth soul eater in all of Kalista.

My father, a representative on the Demon Council, offered me a chance at a new life. That new life, however, meant enrolling at the dark haven known as Demon Reform Academy. Being his daughter painted a target on my back, one that invited hostility and intrigue.

Five demons pushed their way into my life, each with a cryptic agenda—to break me or heal me. A chaos demon created havoc, determined to make me quit. A shadow demon craved my pain. A fear demon desired my terror. A vengeance demon sought to annihilate my tormentors. And a dream demon summoned me into his dreamscape every night.

I was here to work on myself, but a whirlwind of rumors, dark magic, and a secret society threatened to plunge the academy into deeper turmoil—and me along with it.

That was intense, dark, confusing and painful.

There was hope and moments of cosiness. And I do kind of like Dex, why do I like the shadows demons in both series.

so this takes place 50 years after Fate hollow academy and the war. we focus on the demons this time and follow death who we meet in the first series near the end.

Such strong emotions gripped me in this book. From the terror and abuse Pandora suffered, to the pain of Death and how he discovered he was a father, then there are the bullies and some of them from love interests self declared enemies who fight to hate her, nobles who think they deserve and are better than her. There's the dark magic cult. The dream demon and the councilor.
Just so much happened and yet not a lot happened.

Theres spice but our FMC is not ready for more and I liked there was no more than sweet kisses. the ending though, that feeling hit me hard and when it finished I had tears in my eyes!

book 1 and I need more

A great book, interesting storyline, plenty to keep you listening from start to finish, a strong female lead character who is dealing with trauma both past and present and some hint of mate bonds about to form. No spice in this book and a fair bit of bulling. Also ends of a literal cliffhanger. Well worth a credit.

fantastic

It was a good concept but could have been written better! It felt like there was a lot of back and forth that didn’t make sense. Things being brought up that contradicted things already said! Was a bit all over the place

Was alright
