It's so hard to know where to even start with this review. This book is so helpful and important. It's a compassionate and gentle but highly practical guide and anyone dealing with dementia in the family should get it, it's full of great advice. It also includes aspects that often tend to be forgotten about, at least in the beginning, like making sure you're properly taking care of yourself as well to avoid getting completely depleted of energy to care for someone else. It's all so tricky and heartbreaking and books like this are of tremendous help!!! Thank you to the author.

This is a well-researched and highly valuable book. It gives an overview of dementia which allows you to understand what the patient is going through, how to handle various challenging behaviour and how to get help when you need it. It also gives tips on how to manage your tasks effectively. The book is very beneficial to both the dementia patient and the caregiver. I can definitely recommend this audiobook.

I know someone whose mother had dementia and it was VERY rough on him. Encouragement was always needed. Thank you for a book that helps the caregiver as I also had the experience of doing it for my 2 parents. It is one of the toughest things to di in life. This book helped me better understand some if what I saw. Thanks.

Well done for a tough subject!

I had no clue that 70% of Americans age 65 and older suffer from some form of dementia. That is insane! I also had no clue how serious this illness is until this audiobook. This audiobook most definitely took me to school. I learned that although dementia usually involves memory loss, memory loss has different causes. Having memory loss alone doesn't mean you have dementia, despite the fact that it is often one of the early signs of it. I’ve also learned that depending on the cause, some dementia symptoms might be reversible. This is a really great book for everyone in America because this is most certainly a problem in this country. We all sometimes forget things, but most people would have no clue when memory issues can be symptoms of early onset stages of dementia. This book is jam-packed with very important information on dementia, Alzheimer and cognitive decline. This audiobook is an absolute winner! I recommend that you also grab a copy of the hard cover or paperback version to add to your home library.

I recently went through being a full-time caretaker for my mom who was suffering from Dementia. I know how hard it is to be a full-time caretaker for loved ones. I relate to this book fully. Very well written.
