Delirium Mortis is a psychological horror thriller centered on ritual, control, and psychological collapse.

Dr. Michael Scott, a forensic pathologist haunted by his own past, moves to a quiet coastal town hoping for isolation and stability. Instead, he becomes entangled in a series of ritualistic murders that appear less like crimes — and more like carefully staged psychological messages.

As Michael and FBI Agent Navarro move closer to the truth, reality itself begins to fracture. Obsession, fear, and buried trauma begin to blur into something far more dangerous than violence alone.

This novel is ideal for listeners who appreciate dark atmospheric horror blended with investigative psychological tension.

This was completely different from what I was expecting, although ties up with the blurb, and it worked well. It took me a while to get into the book but it is a good psychological thriller and you dont know where you stand so it keeps you on the edge of your seat whilst listening.

Interesting and really keeps you on your toes

I enjoyed this story and it was dark and very creepy at times, so listener beware.

I did struggle a little with the narration as it seemed flat at times and I lost focus and had to relisten to parts.

Excellent narration from Nick Kempton, who brings the scare to your ears.

This is a dark psychological thriller. From the start you are sitting up straight and shaking your head. Michael works with FBI Agent Navarro to find a serial killer with a pattern that stay in their heads.
A town full of secrets , the tension builds as the obsession grows.
A thriller that will have wanting to listen to the end, holding your breath and wishing you hadn’t started it at night.

Trigger warnings of graphic descriptions of mutilation, posing and murder of beautiful young women are needed. The author spares no gory details of the murderer's techniques and methods. Similarities in the appearance of the victims is soon established, but police seem powerless to prevent further deaths linked to ritual and glorification of evil. There are several suspects who seem to have the dissection skills, equipment opportunities, but different or seemingly absent motives. I have deducted two stars because it was easy to lose track of the various suspects. A red herring and twist further stretched credulity and immersion in the tale .I didn't feel satisfied with the conclusion and had too many story questions unanswered. I hope you fare better.

The narrator added to the creepy atmosphere, but editing errors were apparent in my copy with phrases being repeated and inconsistent sound levels. This wrecked the story immersion for me.

Plethora of doctor suspects in serial killer tale.
