Summary

As one of Hollywood’s hottest producers, Kristian Bowen is on top of the world. With the Quantum team fresh off a clean sweep of awards season and looking ahead to the premiere of their new film, Insidious, Kristian's life is exactly how he likes it. Until he attends the wedding of his friend and business partner Flynn Godfrey and meets Aileen Gifford, the close friend of Flynn’s new wife, Natalie. Since meeting Aileen five months ago, Kristian’s carefully cultivated life has changed in ways he never could’ve expected. Now Aileen and her children are moving to Los Angeles, and he’s not sure whether to be excited or terrified about his powerful feelings for the single mom…

Aileen is coming off the worst year of her life, spent battling breast cancer while taking care of two young children. When Natalie, Flynn and their other friends encourage Aileen to move to LA and work for Quantum, she jumps at the chance to give her family a fresh start. And with her off-the-charts attraction to Flynn’s business partner in the mix, the idea of living in LA becomes that much sweeter. Until everyone shows up to welcome her and the kids to their new home in LA—except Kristian.

He can’t avoid her forever, and when these two finally see each other again, sparks fly between the single mom and the producer with a past he’s kept hidden from everyone who matters to him. When that past rears its ugly head, will he run away from the woman he loves or turn to her for comfort in the storm? And will she prevail in convincing him that he can be himself, in every possible way, with her?

Kristian and Aileen’s long-awaited story is full of heat, heart and humor, as well as appearances from all the Quantum characters readers love!

Just ok, narrative was not the best, but doable

It's was very close to 50 shades, could have been more original. Would have like just Sebastian York

Best story of the series

I greatly enjoyed the initial trilogy but, for twists and turns plus deep feelings, I believe this to be the best story yet.

Good story - meh narration

Where does Delirious rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This was a decent listen, but certainly not one of my favorites.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Delirious?

Great storyline...

What aspect of Sam Welles and Kate Genevieve ’s performance would you have changed?

Kate Genevieve was fantastic but Sam Welles was the worst choice possible for Kristian. He sounded like someone's grandfather!

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

No this book was just ok for me and while the storyline was great I felt the male narrator kind of ruined any love I could've had for it.

Any additional comments?

The male narrator totally brought me out of any and all BDSM scenes with his voice...

What do these things have in common?

A Closet, Toys and Happiness...if you chose Marie Force you'd be correct. You would also be correct if you Quantum, Christian or Aileen.

I didn't understand the review that said, "They hated the book and that Christian was a selfish prick." So I had give it a listen for myself. Especially Knowing that the members of the Quantum group tended to be the most giving and loving cast of characters. I'm glad I decided to judge for myself because as I suspected the two main characters as well as the every supporting one were the most selfless bunch.

Marie Force did a great job of intertwining Christian & Aileen's story with the previous love stories. I am looking forward to the next tale of sex, love & understanding. Not sure why every other review says this is the last, it's not. Think about who's left in the cast and you will have you next one.

Narration by Kate Genevieve and Sam Welles was good. Kate played Aileen to perfection. A strong, yet submissive and let's not forget survivor. As a Breast Cancer survivor myself I experienced many of the emotions & situations that her character did. They were all spot on.

I haven't listened to much by Sam but thought his character would have a stronger deeper voice. Too me he sounded like a little boy. And during BDSM scenes this felt a bit weird. I believe that his "normal" voice would have carried the character better. The director should have caught this.

Overall I 100% enjoyed the latest Quantum tale. I would recommend reading at a minimum Natalie & Flynns story before this one.

The observations contained in this review are all mine. I enjoy most listens (some more than others) as they each provide me with hours of entertainment, lust, love, angst, hope, sex, happiness, sadness, & joy. For this I am thankful. With nearly 800 Audible titles in my library you can trust that I am not doing this for the money. My Audible addiction is expensive but worth it.

Enjoy whatever you choose to listen too. I do!

WOW

This story really touched me. It has to be one of my favorite in the series. I love that Christian and Aileen have both overcome so much in their lives and that they found each other. It's a very heartwarming, yet erotic, love story with a wonderful hea!

Sweet and fast paced

I enjoy this series but this story was probably one of my favorites minus Flynn and Natalie. I never really got into audio books but I do look for them more now and appreciate the series continuing them. I do think that she does a better job at reading both main characters and it was a bit awkward to hear him read for all of the female roles. The first three books in the series had better flow between the narrators.

like the other quantum books; you'll like this one

My biggest complaints is the characters names are pronounced differently in this book versus the previous books. Otherwise good story telling to continue the quantum series
