Short and Sweet

This was a short but good PNR. I enjoyed the storyline and the mystery of what the past had to do with the future. Hope there is more to come with these characters.

Really great PNR novella

I'm not a huge fan of PNR but this story had me drawn in from the beginning. I loved the characters of Nevaeh and Kato and wanted to know more about the world they lived in with werewolves, vampires and witches. I was a bit confused at first because Nevaeh has several moments of deja vu and it was weird like the audio was repeating itself but this all becomes clearer as the story progresses. The narration was spot on with these two and Tor and Charley embodied the characters brilliantly. I would love more stories of this world and characters.

Suspenseful and Steamy Paranormal Romance!

This little nugget packed a huge punch! One of this author's best books yet and she does a phenomenal job of giving us a great story in a tiny package. It is a super suspenseful and steamy paranormal listen that kept me captivated all the way through.

This narrator duo gave us another great performance that fit the story well. I love their dynamic as a narrating duo!

I received a review copy at my request and have voluntarily left this unbiased review.

Deja Vu

Nevaeh thinks she is going to be finally free from the "stepmonster" Mother dearest and her new husband and stepbrother. She runs into to Kato as she enters town and something about him feels familiar. So many secrets have been hidden from her surrounding her fathers death. Only returning to her family and family home can bring these secrets to life. This story is short and sweet with a tale of new yet old love packed with danger and adventure. The narration by Tor Thom and Charley Ongel was fantastic and easy to listen to. They really brought the story to life.

Standalone Paranormal Romance Novella

Deja Vu by Elaine Marie is a Standalone Paranormal Romance Novella. I listened to this book on audio narrated by Tor Thom and Charley Ongel. This is the first book by Elaine's that I have read and look forward to reading more of her books in the future. I really enjoyed having the two narrators to distinguish between the male and female characters. I would recommend this book to anyone that enjoys Paranormal and Alpha Males.

My Thoughts on Deja Vu

3.5 of 5 stars

This was my first book by Elaine Marie but I look forward to listening to more by her. This paranormal romance was an attention grabber. Especially with a leading man like Kato. He's one of those strong, understanding and super supportive types that instantly make you fall in love with them. Nevaeh didn't make me love her instantly like Kato did, but I was a fan by the end. I liked the blend of multiple supernatural creatures in this story. My only wish is that it had been a little longer so the author didn't have to do quite so many time jumps. I would have liked a bit of a slower progression of all the relationships and to have had time to see it all unfold. But the attraction and draw between the leading characters was understandable with shifters being involved.

The narrators for this story did an amazing job. I'm a huge fan of these two so I expected fantastic performances and once again they delivered. I love the character distinctions. Each character has their own unique tone. And of course their duet narration job is on point.

Searching for the truth!

Shifters are not my normal listen, but the combination of Elaine Maire paired with Tor Thom and Charley Ongel had me intrigued! This novella is packed full of steam, destiny and suspense. Nevaeh has recently finished school, she sets out to her home left to her by her father, leaving her evil stepmother and step brother behind. This move changes Nevaeh's life. Learning of her past, things about herself and mother and finding Kato all will alter her path and help her find her truths. I enjoyed this short, with wolves, vampires and witches. It's action packed, the romance and steam is high and you just can't help but love Kato and his protectiveness! I also loved Nevaeh's realizations of her own inner strength and powers. It's a great mixture of paranormal and romance.

Tor Thom and Charley Ongel are perfect for these roles. I love Thom's voice when used as an alpha, and his portrayal of Kato is spot on. He emotes his protective side, lets loose the anger and gives us passion. Nevaeh is a little tricky, as she is more complex. Being young, Ongel gives Nevaeh a voice that makes her independent, yet as things progress, I can hear not only the passion with Kato, but the maturing and learning. It's a transformation for Nevaeh and it all comes through Ongel's performance.

Interesting

I liked this book. It was outside by genre. First read about a shifter. The story was good and so were the narrators. I received this from the author and it was the first I’ve read of hers. Will definitely read others.

Different

This audiobook was a bit different to any I have heard with the male voice and female voice together rather than the narrator doing both voices.

The story was a little rushed sometimes but it all came together in the end. Will have to get the rest as this was an interesting story line

Begging for More

This book was already fantastically hot and steamy but then you add in the voices of Charley Ongel and Tor Thom and are blown away! Absolutely loved the main character with her sass and strength, adding in the narrator's voice and you get a siren. This book has it all..a hunky hero that's waited for her, a mystery, romance, some wild times and of course a villain. This author is quickly rising to my top favorites! Loved this book and wished it didn't have to end!

A journey to find the truth!

Sometimes the truth can be painful but Nevaeh has a strong will. She wants to discover herself and the truth about her father accident. This is a awesome short story with a great amount of intrigue and mystery. It has romance, adventure and shifters what a great combination.
The narrator’s are magnificent together at telling the story and distinguish between the characters. I absolutely love listening to this awesome pair.
I definitely recommend this book to everyone. It maybe short but it packs a punch!

A good story!

Although this story was a little different from the other shifter stories I’ve listened too, it was very good.
While I did enjoy this story, it did feel a little too full of content for the length. I wished it had been spread out over a little more time, maybe an hour or so.
Let’s talk narration:
The Male narration was absolutely amazing, he’s got one the sexiest voices I’ve ever heard.
Here’s what I’d like to say about the female narration.
First, let me just say, she has a lovely voice, and while she does really well during the actual conversation parts, I do not like her narrative talking parts. IMO she’s trying too hard and it comes out sounding fake... to me.
I’ve listened to many books narrated by this duo and I’ve felt the same way each time!
Please remember this is only my opinion and I encourage everyone to listen and form their own opinions!!

ORIGINAL STORYLINE!

Well, l have not come across a story quite like this before. As l dont do spoilers l can't say too much, it's better if you enjoy it as it unfolds like l did. lt was my first time listening to these narrators. By golly, Tor Thom has a deep voice, perfect for that growly wolf. l found Charley Ongel has a sing song voice that was quite lyrical.

Fascinating Story! Great Audile Listen🎧

Elaine Marie does it again! I am not sure how she does it but she works magic with her words and fits a lot of story into this novella. She creates an imaginative world with paranormal beings including shifters, vampires and witches. The storylines are interesting and captivate you from start to end. The characters are well developed, Nevaeh’s Dad died when she was younger leaving her to live with a not so nice Step-mother who remarried someone with a son, none of them treated her right. Old enough to leave on her own she heads to the property her father left he, she also seeks to learn the truth of her Dad’s death. She finds more way more, she not only finds out the truth of what happened to her father but also about her mother and herself. She comes into her own, finds powers within. She does all this with the help of Kato. I loved the chemistry between the two, Navaeh tried to deny the animal magnetism between them but Kato knew she was his mate and needed to wait for her to realize the same. There is a lot going on in this story, there is a action, drama, twists, suspense, mystery and some hot romance. Elaine Marie, thank you for this enjoyable story! Love Navaeh’s name and origin.

I listened to the Audible edition, Tor Thom & Charley Ongel are wonderful narrators and voice performers. They bring the characters to life, giving each their own voice and personality. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another great listen🎧

Looking for the truth

Deja Vu by Elaine Marie and narrated by Tor Thom and Charley Ongel.
Looking for answers to her past Nevaeh Clarke returns to her old home. While searching for answers she also finds her future and the Mate that’s been waiting for her.
This novella has a little bit of everything pnr, suspense, and hot sex scenes.
Gift from Tor Thom for a fair and honest review.
