Defending Heaven brings together, for the first time in one volume, a complete history of the Jin, Song, and Ming dynasties' wars fought against the Mongols. Chokingly dry

Long series of dates and names that all blend into one. No attempt to bring it to life - history as it used to be taught at school. Well done to the narrator for managing to chew through it.
