Damian was a man who thought he knew his place in the mafia world but soon found a different purpose. Lily couldn’t control her own destiny no matter how much she wished to, but once she opened herself up, she and Damian were able to form a connection. I liked their chemistry. Damian’s dirty talk was 🔥.
The narrator, Roberto Scarlato, was a great fit. He transitioned well between both voices and maintained a strong quality throughout his narration.

I absolutely LOVED it and it had me enraptured from the start,it could be a movie it is just so so good and realistic.
What also made it Amazing was the Narration by Roberto Scarlato,his voice was just perfect and smooth and so pleasing to the senses.
I LOVE his voice and he did an excellent job at portraying all the characters I am looking forward to discovering more of his Narrations.
The story follows four families within the Chicago Mafia and the war that begins between them.
This is Damian and Lily's story.
Damian Rossi owes a debt to his friend Deano and now it is the time to pay that debt..Deano is going to prison and needs to take care of his family before he goes...He wants his sister safe and so she needs to marry and the ideal man is Damian..Marry Lily and the debt is paid.
Lily DeLuca has been travelling for years and now she is bitter that she has been called back home by her brother Deano.
She Hates Mafia life and thought she had escaped it by being free to travel,but no now she has to marry a man she doesnt even know...The Mafia is brutal to woman they have no voice and no choices and have to just except their fates.Being married off to anyone to benefit the family and arranged marriages are normal practice.
Lily is Angry.! she does everything to show her displeasure..but as time goes by Damian charms her and she begins to like him...And surprisingly to Damian he also begins to care for Lily and it no longer becomes an obligation..Damian wants to protect her willingly and they are attracted to eachother their intimate times are explosive.
There is a back story along with the romance deception,murder,feuds..etc As Mafia life is dark,violent and dangerous,and when you are born into that life there is no escaping it.
Bethany Kris has created such a captivating story her writing is excellent and the story so clever with its twists I thoroughly enjoyed every minute I spent listening to it.
I cannot praise Deathless and Divided enough and would give it so much more than just 5 stars if I could.
Absolutely Brilliant book.
