This was a good solid mystery, I really enjoyed it. I really like the characters and their relationships. Danielle Cohen's performance is fantastic, the singing was interesting... I had an idea of who the killer was and was happy that I was right, the conclusion was very satisfying. I binged this in one day.

I sadly do have a criticism 🫤 ……for me at least , her story telling is spoiled by the dog’s babyish “yip yip” voiced .
Second the singing grated somewhat ….ok - got the “ awful voice “ , it was relevant ….but could have done without
the full recitation of the song at the end . Bit much .
The storyline was really good ! and I love getting to know all the characters a bit more each time .
Looking forward to more !

I’ve loved all three kipper cottage audio books, the stories are well written, the characters believable, and the setting magical. As a regular visitor to Whitby it really feels like being there. I wasn’t too keen on the singing, but the story teller is excellent and her accents impressive! I am disappointed that there are not more audio recordings of Jan’s later kipper cottage stories, and hope they get recorded soon. I’m a fan!
