LA private detective Kip Yardley is hired by an aging actress to find the remains of her husband, a WWII pilot shot down in the South Pacific. A few days later the actress is found dead, shot in the head. All Kip Yardley has to do is sign the contract to make it binding, and find the remains, to collect a quarter of a million dollars.
