Summary

The new Death in Paradise mystery

Two dead bodies. A family of suspects. One grumpy detective.

Reluctantly stationed on the sweltering Caribbean island of Saint-Marie, Detective Inspector Richard Poole dreams of cold winds, drizzly rain and a pint in his local pub.

Just as he is feeling as fed up as can be, a mysterious vagrant is found dead in the grounds of the historic Beaumont plantation. Immediately assumed to be suicide, DI Poole is not so convinced and is determined to prove otherwise. Never mind that the only fingerprints on the murder weapon belong to the victim. Or that the room was locked from the inside.

Before long, death knocks twice and a second body turns up. The hunt is on to solve the case - despite the best efforts of the enigmatic Beaumont family....

How Does He Do It?

How Does Robert Thorogood write such gripping books? The way he writes is so interesting and always keeps you hanging on every word. If you like to watch Death In Paradise you will certainly love these books are even if you just like reading crime books I would highly recommend this series. I was unsure at first about the narrator but it didn't take me a minute to change my mind. He did a grate job with all the accents.

Richard Poole is doing the business

Richard is brought to life by Phil Fox brilliantly, I loved the blend of a stuffy English DI on a tropical island supported by Camille, Dwayne and Fidel.

Excellent couldn’t stop listening

I have now listened to all the Robert Thorogood Death in Paradise books and although they are all great stories this one is by far the best a fascinating plot that keeps you guessing all the way through
Phil Fox does a wonderful job of narrating making you really believe you are listening to the characters you already know from the TV series
I hope to find more from Robert and Phil soon thank you

Easy listening with excellent narrator and characters as expected from TV series. Plot twists also kept me guessing right to the end.
