I loved the dual narration of JD Hart

We find Nick and Devon are running his sister's farm and winery after her murder. The murderer is out of prison. There are twists and turns along with danger, suspense, trust, support, connections, drama, kidnapping, hope, love, great chemistry and difficult situations that have you wondering what would happen next

This is my first book by Sharon Hamilton and I was curious because I found the blurb interesting. I liked the writing style and was quickly drawn into the story. It's about Nick and his family. He runs a winery with Devon, which also hosts weddings. The descriptions were good and I could immediately imagine the lavender fields.
But the peaceful life is disrupted when his neighbor and his sister's murderer is released from prison. Nick tries to protect his family at all costs and asks his Seal brothers for help.
The story was interesting and a good mix of a love story and suspense. There were repeated flashbacks to people and situations from the past. However, it would probably have been better to have read the first three volumes first, because then I would have understood the characters and their relationships to each other a little better.
The ending was predictable in my opinion and also a bit short, but otherwise the story entertained me well.

JD Hart was a new narrator for me and I thought he did a fantastic job. I could easily listen to his pleasant, smoky voice. He read with variety and brought the story to life.

Fantastic narration!
