Museum curator Harrison Kirkpatrick has been fascinated by the American Revolution since childhood, but never in his wildest dreams did he ever imagine falling in love from afar with a soldier who fought for America's freedom. Through a series of events too wild to be believed, Harrison is thrown back in time to 1775, mere days before the Battle of Bunker Hill, finding himself at the business end of a musket held by the very man he has been pining for.

Story
My whole life, I’ve been taught to despise shifters. So when I’m hired to track two escaped convicts, I’m suddenly thrust into the world I hate - or thought I did. Yet I’m inexplicably drawn to the alpha of the pack, whose land the convicts may be hiding on. He’s different than any shifter I've ever met - laidback and quick to laugh, caring, and protective. As secrets are revealed, I start to wonder if everything I’ve been raised to believe was a lie, though it may not matter, because it seems like someone wants us dead.

Getting into the vampire-only detective unit was the easy part. What’s going to be more difficult is dealing with my new partner - an ancient vampire who keeps threatening to eat me. The unit has never had a human in it. Marcus - or, as I like to call him: Fangy McFangface - would really prefer to keep it that way. He’s grumpy, short-tempered, and broody, but I have a way with words, and I know he’s starting to like me, even if he swears he’s not.

“You are the savior of mankind” are the last words I ever expected to hear while nibbling on fries. The thing is, I’m not mankind saving material. I don’t even have magic (and just found out it exists). I’m the most boring, normal(ish) human ever. Suddenly, I’m being tossed right into the middle of a fight that started years before I was even born, and then I get partnered up with Alastair, a quirky magical Guardian. Summary
Cold Case Detective Ronan O'Mara is looking forward to starting a new life in his new home, but when a strange house warming gift appears on his doorstep, he has no idea that it marks the start of a series of events that will put his life, and the lives of everyone close to him, in danger. When murders similar to those committed by dead serial killer Rod Jacobson start occurring around Boston, Ronan is certain he has a copycat killer on his hands.
Psychic Tennyson Grimm is approached by friends for help dealing with issues surrounding their son. He quickly realizes there is more going on with the boy than teenaged angst. Though he doesn't want to believe it, his psychic abilities and a series of strange paranormal occurrences point to a link between the troubled teen and the murder victims that are turning up all over Boston.
When Ronan is attacked during the investigation, it's up to Tennyson and Captain Fitzgibbon to find the killer without him. Will they be able to stop the murderer before the evil that surrounds him destroys them all?

OMG!!! 😱😱😢🥰🥰
Just when you thought an audiobook couldn’t get any better it goes from strength to strength. 😁
As with previous audiobooks, the MC’s, storyline, humour etc.. is amazing - but this one is much darker than the previous. I was in tears at the end of this audiobook, but WOW, what a story! 🥰🥰
So well written and excellently narrated by Michael Pauley/Dean.
I highly recommend this series - you won’t be disappointed!

The series just keeps getting better!
I’m so glad that I got started on this series as Tennyson and Ronan’s stories and relationship has really grabbed me. And in true good series fashion the books just keep getting better as we get further into the series and form more connections with the characters. I got so hooked in finding out what happened next that I was listening on the bus to and from work, on my tea breaks and lunch breaks.
Audio books can be hit or miss for me - even if I’ve loved the written book - dependant on the narrator so I’m glad that Michael Pauley’s narration continues to work so well with Pandora Pine’s writing. Can’t wait to listen to more!

Love the series!
I'm really invested in this series!
This time the story is a little more serious, a bit more dark, but not in a bad way. Ronan and Tenn are still feeling their way in their budding romance, however Ronan is working more on his own, while Tenn is working with Ronan's boss.
The mystery and suspense in this story kept me engaged to the end.
Michael Pauley's narration continues to be excellent in this series. It's so easy to get immersed in the story while listening to him.
A great way to enjoy the story!

4.5* of gripping action
This book in this fantastic series is emotionally gripping the in places harrowing as our duo face off against some nasty goings on. This book is definitely not sunshine and roses. It has all the usual characters in attendance.
It is dark and some may find it upsetting but it does grip you from the start. I have read the book, but to hear the story gives the reader an added sense of menace. Michael Pauley as always is brilliant. Highly recommend it.

Best book in the series so far
I loved it. Pandora Pine doesn't shy away from dealing with tough subjects and this book was a real heartwrencher. Just when Ronan and Tenn are really settling in to their relationship and seem to finally be stable, a dark force from their past turns up determined to destroy them and their family. Seeing more of Tony, Carla and their adopted boys was great and heartbreaking in equal measure. I really hope the family feature in the later books and get the chance to heal. I don't want to ruin the story or the ending, but get yourself a box of tissues before you settle in as I cried at least 4 or 5 times and definitely sobbed my way through the last chapter and epilogue! As ever, I can't wait for the next book ♥️

Emotional and dramatic
This story was eerie and powerful, full of love, fear, the supernatural. jokes, and sadness. I cried several times, especially at the end. When you are a mystic and psychic, dead doesn't mean gone. In this story, a killer Ronan and Ten already dealt with once seems to be back in spirit form. Is he, or is it just a copy cat killer using his methods? This one will definitely tug on your heartstrings. I love this series, but be warned,it seemed to me that this one had less laughter and more drama/trauma than the three that came before. There is less actual mystery, but loads more suspense. It's hard to be impartial when you and all your friends have been targeted, and you know and like the suspect. Still, I loved it, and little Dixie, who seems to wrap every one of the men around her little paws.
The narration was good with clear distinction between the various characters' voices, and well-paced delivery.
I received a complimentary copy of this audiobook through the author, and this is my honest, voluntary review.

Heartbreaking, dynamic and tragic!
Another whirlwind for Tenneson and Ronan when a dead serial killer from one of their previous cases comes back to seek revenge. Tragedy strikes and many lives are threatened. Friendships will be tested and no one comes out unscathed.
A heartbreaking and gripping story that had me on the edge of my seat, crying for the characters and biting my nails to know the outcome. Pandora has created another unique, suspenseful and sadly tragic story when the outcome is not what I expected. Pandora’s writing is dynamic and real and will draw you into this world and you can’t help but fall for the characters. Michael rendition of this book is especially powerful, I was crying at the end!
Another great one in a thrilling and addictive series!

Wow. I just finished this book and my emotions have been through the ringer.
This one truly packs a lot of emotional punch. There were a few times where I laughed out loud. But towards the end? I wasn’t sure if my heart could take it.
Who would have thought that a paranormal romance mystery thriller could also contain so much serious hard-hitting subject matters? Pandora Pine has mastered it. It’s incredible.
Michael Pauley, you’ve outdone yourself with this book. The creepy voice was hair-raising creeptastic. And that evil laugh, holy crap. Amazing talent.

Michael Pauley did an amazing job!!!
The angst was off the charts in this action-packed mystery. I love a great dark story that really gets into my head and this story did that for me. Each story gets better and better. I was sucked in from the very start. I enjoy how Pandora Pine intertwines all the characters and they keep appearing in each book.
Please read the previous books before this one. If your looking for a darker, grief stricken, and yet funny story this one is for you. Tennyson and Ronan won't let you down.

Dead Weight
This series just gets better with each (audio)book. Really fantastic series.
While I am sure these are great books to read, I feel like Michael Pauley's voice and narration just gives these characters life and the story just impacts you so much harder when listening to them. The ending of this book just made me all kinds of emotional. I was in shock, gutted, and sobbing with the ending of this book. But the overall story we get mixed with the narration was such a great story to hear.
I really love this group of friends that Tennyson and Ronan has surrounded themselves with, they are all fantastic people. The first two books of this series were suspenseful and intriguing, the last book #3 was more romance filled which I think gave us a good balance in the storyline. This book brings us right back to the suspenseful crazy nature of the series and things that had happened and ended in those first two books. But besides all the drama and action, we still got to see some lighter moments as well. This author has written such a great plot line with this whole series so far I cant wait to experience the rest of these books. But, I will be waiting to get them all in audio so I can experience them first through listening to them in MP's voice I just hope we get more soon.

Gone too far
Having as a plot device a young person committing suicide to prevent future suffering is unforgivable. The characters continue on as if it didn’t matter. Great model for young people. Further “friends” allow Ronan to be shot three times in the chest when they knew about it in advance. Tennyson was helpless because of their continued selfishness. He could have acted in time to save Ronan. Both of these intolerable story lines make this story a true pill.

Amazingly intense!
Oh my goodness Pandora broke me. This book is amazing!! But wow! It kept me on the edge of my seat through the very last line. I still haven’t recovered and I’m chomping at the bit for the next book! This has quickly become one of my most favorite series. #Roanandtenforever
