About this listen

How far would you go to protect a dead man?

It’s the year 2000 in Dublin and, following some traumatic events, Detective Bunny McGarry is taking a well-earned break from the force. However, just because you’re not looking for trouble doesn’t mean trouble isn’t looking for you.

Bunny’s former partner died in the line of duty under dubious circumstances, but his murky background has suddenly resurfaced, threatening Bunny’s reputation as well. As if that isn’t enough, a young boy is in danger and a woman from the big fella’s past is trapped in a loveless marriage to a monster. They both need Bunny’s help, but he must get to work fast - it seems someone is trying to frame him for murder....

Dead Man’s Sins is a continuation of McDonnell’s critically acclaimed best-selling Dublin Trilogy and mixes high-octane thrills with a distinctly Irish wit.

All Caimh McDonnells Dublin trilogy books are spot on. The writing is brilliantly clever, combining gritty subject matter with truly laugh out loud humour. The narration of Morgan C Jones is sublime and has helped me decide that Bunny McGarry is my new favourite character. Skippy the magnificent (expeditionary force) now pushed down to the No2 spot! 🤣

My new favourite author and narrator.

Another fantastic book with Bunny and a host of hilarious characters! Each of the books in the Trilogy are hugely entertaining.

Another great book

All the characters are wonderful - you love them, you hate them, you root for them and you fear them. Both author and performance highly entertaining.

Brilliant characters, great story telling

As always the Dublin trilogy and Bunny McGarry in particular can be relied upon to make you laugh out loud. If there is an Oscars for performance then the guy who acts (for it is acting at its finest) the story out should get one.

Fantastic humour and performance

Caimh’s choice of narrator was just perfect, however it happened Morgan C Jones is just amazing! I’ve listed to all the audiobooks in the series and they are a complete joy. I have laughed and laughed. I just want everyone to have the Bunny experience. There are some dark themes but there is always a light touch to moderate it.
The comedy circuit lost out when Caimh turned his talent to writing. A real gift.

Just Brilliant!! 😂😂😂
