Bah Humbug!

It’s almost Christmas and Bunny McGarry is not in the festive spirit. His mood is not improved when an old friend becomes the victim of a violent assault and, for reasons he can’t understand, the police force he is a member of has decided not to investigate. Getting to the bottom of the case ends up putting him on the wrong side of some powerful people. How does all of this involve an Italian heiress who has disappeared? Why is the commissioner of the Gardai no longer in charge? And why is a certain teenage boy on the rampage swearing bloody vengeance?

Strap in as things are about to get seriously festive and the big fella is taking no prisoners.

Some people have no appreciation of the fundamentals of the Christmas game.

The Family Jewels is book seven in the Amazon best-selling, critically acclaimed, and numerically infuriating Dublin Trilogy.

I started with the stranger times, about 3 months ago… to confuse matters slightly, these are written by C.K. McDonnell, Undeterred by this minor inconsistency , I have listened to almost everything Caimh has written. I almost finished, which is a terrible thing as honestly his work is just the most joyful, interesting and entertaining series I have listened to. Both narrators for the each series are outstanding and if you don’t find these books uplifting and hilarious, that’s sad for you, have a word with yourself! Listen to everything, you will be happier for the experience and I am sorry I have taken so long to write a review, frankly I was too busy listening. Mr McDonnell, please don’t stop emptying your head onto the page. It’s a tonic.

I am a terrible person because…

I will always love Bunny books but they have to have the same narrator, he is the star of the show!

Never stop writing these books

Fantastic series and Bunny is just adorable. I did get a lump in my throat at one bit which makes this whole series of books even better. How the books are all linked with such great characters. The naration also makes these books what they are. Outstanding.

Bunny is amazing

I started this at Christmas so it really added something being set at this time of year. The usual mix of hilarity and real stakes as Bunny moves through and sets things right. Crime, found family, friends, despicable bad guys and some soft hearted criminals made this very enjoyable

As usual great entertainment, brilliantly funny, great characters and never a dull moment. I Love these books!
