Sometimes the dead will not stay dead.

It’s Halloween, and a killer long thought dead has suddenly reappeared, setting both the Dublin criminal underworld and the Gardaí on edge. Smiling Johnny Gildea–the textbook definition of a charming monster–is back and intent on settling old scores, chief amongst them the death of his baby brother.

Bunny McGarry has to find him, and fast, before Gildea takes out the person he holds responsible: Bunny’s partner and best friend, Pamela Cassidy.

With all that’s happening, the last thing Bunny needs is having to deal with a certain young fella of his acquaintance whose bonfire has been nicked.

Expect fireworks.

Join Bunny on his latest adventure in the increasingly inaccurately titled, yet nevertheless million-selling Dublin Trilogy.

I loved everything about this book. The story was funny, I actually laughed out loud several times. Throughout all of the Bunny books, alongside the humour, runs the feeling of love that Bunny has for his boys and his partner and the love they have for him. All these stories are gifted to us the listeners via a wonderful, clever narrator, a voice that makes you feel you are present in the story. Please Mr McDonnell don’t ever stop writing these books.
