Summary

Sir Gervase Chevenix-Gore suspects he is the victim of fraud and contacts Hercule Poirot. The host's failure to answer to the dinner gong leads to the discovery of his body in the study.

A gun, a shattered mirror - the obvious inference is suicide until Poirot begins his investigation...

Hugh Fraser, known to millions as Captain Hastings in the Poirot productions on television, gives a first-class performance.

Excellent story But...

I have to write this review in the interest of honesty. The same story appears in the title Murder in the Mews. Excellent story but published under two titles.

Wonderful!

This is one of my favorite Agatha Christie's books and I was happy to find it on Audible. Hugh Fraser does a great job with his narration. I'll be listening to it again and again and highly recommend it.

Agatha Christie at her best!

A beautifully narrated, suspenseful and tightly wrapped mystery. The characters are vivid and psychologically convincing .
