About this listen

A young hospital security guard with a disturbingly unique taste in women. A maternity doctor with a horrifically unusual appetite. When the two of them meet, they embark on a journey of self-discovery while shattering societal norms and engaging in destructively aberrant behavior. As they unwittingly help each other understand a world in which neither seems to belong, they begin to realize what it truly means to be alive....

And that it might not always a good thing.

I took this from one of Tik Toks most disturbing reads.
It’s not disturbing. It’s a string of the same words over and over in more aggressive form designed to repulse.
The reader conveys the internal monologue of the lead perfectly.
There are moments where this book is grim. But disturbing it is not because it is truly one of the most forgettable books I have ever read/listened to.

Grim

while I love a bit of shock horror this felt over the top just for shock value, trying to put together as much taboo as possible to shock and disgust but not enough care taken to giving the story real substance.

Gruesome and hard to swallow

Dark and shocking with not much of a storyline.
When I say shocking, I mean predictably shocking.
Not the best in its genre.

Predictable shocker

It felt a little… Unnecessary. It wasn’t a bad book, but parts of it felt like they were simply there to shock you, and it didn’t have any deeper meaning behind it. That was a little disappointing in the end

Gore for the sake of gore

This book is terribly written but I kind of loved it because of that, it’s just so far fetched and ridiculous I really enjoyed it😂 I’m not sure if it’s on purpose but to me it worked

So bad and gruesome it’s funny
