About this listen

Max Baker, a 31-year-old accountant, finds himself in a desperate situation after killing a prostitute in his hotel room. ‘I lost control of myself,’ he says. ‘I couldn’t get the thought out of my head!’ Panicking and unable to dispose of the evidence by himself, he calls on his long-time friend John Kasper for help. Kasper is horrified and hesitant to help at first, but he can’t abandon his friend during his time of need. Max’s family and future are at stake. Together, they devise and execute one plan after another, hopelessly trying to hide Max’s crime...

But how do you make a dead body disappear from the 29th floor of a busy hotel?

Jon Athan, the author of Lovesick and The Groomer, invites you to spend a night with Max and Kasper to explore the human body in this extreme psychological horror novel. Do you have the guts to check-in?

an author unafraid to explore and describe the dark graphic depths of gore and horror.

My first dip into this kind of horror. Felt like I went in at the deep end. Overall though a fantastic novel with plenty of chapter cliff hangers. Your main protagonist/antagonist is not a likeable character at all. But that can be expected considering the business he's got himself into.

Narration was pretty good too! Fair play to the narrator reading this off with such enthusiasm.

Worth a listen but be warned. It's pretty messed up. And that's an understatement.

Absurdly Brutal

Fantastic story, that really shows how during panic, you flit from one idea to the next not really making progress, but doing everything possible to get the end result you want, highly recommend this title, very different to other horrors while still containing scenes that make you wince and a story line thats captivating.

Absolutely fantastic view point

Couldn’t do it to myself to listen any further than chapter 9. Awful, don’t do it to yourself
