I liked the VA though fair warning, she actually whispers when the dialogue is of a whisper and then gets louder when the dialogue is more demanding. I had to adjust my volume several times while listening.

A half English, half Indian lady falls for an English Duke. Bigotry at it worst, but attraction and passion abundant.

This was a really good read, I couldn’t put it down. The main characters are fully fleshed out, the romance is so sweet and beautiful and the spice is spicy. A beautifully written book and I can’t wait to find out more about the Elusive Lords in the next book. It’s nice to see a POC in a historical romance.

Trigger warning: The book contains some racism against the lead but it is handled very well.

I really enjoyed Tristan and Lara story. The story details prejudice and racism which is reflective of the time. I also felt the story went on bit too long but thoroughly enjoyed it and felt the narration was well done.
