Cruel Winter With You is part of the Under the Mistletoe series by Ali Hazelwood. This is a short Christmas novella perfect if you are in the mood for a Christmassy book to read in one sitting.

I loved the storyline for this book, starting from the beginning of their story and moving through the years as they grew up and their relationship changed.

Jamie was firey, sweet and caring FMC. I liked her a lot but I absolutely loved Mark! I loved getting the childish boy years, the bad boy teens and then the hot as hell manly years. He really knew what he wanted and went for it.

Great storyline, loveable characters, short, sweet and spicy. Perfect Christmas read!

This was such a cute, festive little novella and exactly what I needed as a palate cleanser between longer reads. Cruel Winter With You was cozy, funny and surprisingly swoony for such a short story. Jamie and Marc’s dynamic was so much fun to read, full of sharp banter, underlying tension and that slow realisation that maybe their dislike isn’t quite what they thought it was.

I loved the snowy setting and the forced proximity element, which worked perfectly in a novella format and made everything feel warm and seasonal. Ali Hazelwood’s humour really shines here and she managed to pack a lot of chemistry and emotional payoff into very few pages. It was light, comforting and left me smiling by the end. A perfect festive romance when you want something quick, cozy and satisfying without committing to a full-length novel.
