About this listen

It started with an accidental dirty voicemail. It ended with my boss’s baby in my belly.

One butt dial changed my life forever.
Ruslan Oryolov went from boss to baby daddy in the blink of an eye.
But other stuff changed along the way, too.
I learned who Ruslan is—who he really is.
I learned that the children I’ve come to love as my own can’t stay in this city anymore.
I’ve learned that none of us can.

So we’re running.
But of course, Ruslan won’t let us go that easily.
And when he learns about what I’m taking from him—the baby in my belly—he makes me a promise.
A very, very cruel promise.
No matter where you go...no matter how far or how fast you flee...I will always find you.

Cruel Promise is Book Two of the Oryolov Bratva duet. Ruslan and Emma’s story begins in Book One, Cruel Paradise.

very much enjoyed this duet, the story was great as too was the narration. I've listened to a good number of this authors books and she never disappoints.

excellent duet

I really enjoyed listening to both book one and two, the way Nicola writes spoke to me and not once did I roll my eyes (this is a great sign haha).

Highly recommend and both narrators were perfect for the 2 book series. I purchased these rather than using credits and I'm glad I did.

Loveeeed

I don’t think this really needed to be two books - a lot of time is given to the “something’s rotten in mafia land” story which, given it’s a romance novel, isn’t particularly well thought out or intriguing. The causes of jeopardy also begin to feel a bit repetitious. The central relationships feel much more important. These books could have been edited into one more punchy novel. These books narration is excellent

Fun but too long

As Emma learns more about Ruslan’s true identity and the dangers surrounding them, they must navigate their complicated relationship. Like the first the second book had me hooked from the start. I highly recommend reading the extended epilogue as we get to read about Josh and his sisters 10 years later. Again the narrators did an excellent job.

Excellent Mafia Romance
