Summary

Cross: I'm the guy whose name brings fear into the hearts of even the hardest men. They call me Cross because I've killed enough men to fill a cemetery, and I never saw any problem with that. Until a woman I hardly remember brought my 11-year-old daughter that I didn't know existed to my doorstep and left her for me to take care of.

At first, my daughter was a complication I didn't need, but now I'll do everything I can to raise her right. I'll even stay away from her hot-as-sin guidance counselor Roxanne, who makes me feel like I'm 20 again, and not pushing 40. Which isn't to say I wouldn't show her what a real man can do with a woman like her.

Roxie: My father was the president of an outlaw MC, and until I turned 21, a world of bikers, mayhem, and crime was all I knew. Then a rival gang destroyed it all, killed my family and everyone I held dear, and made me the property of a brutal, ruthless man. I ran away, got an education, and haven't looked back.

Now I'm the guidance counselor at a small-town junior high school, my old life so far behind me it might as well be someone else's past, and I was happy to leave it there. But then I met Cross, the bad-boy biker father of one of my wayward students. He makes me yearn for the life I lost, crave all the excitement that used to be my everyday. Makes me want to be a bad girl again, if only for one night. But I won't go down that road again. It doesn't lead anywhere good.

Contains mature themes.

HOTNESS, DANGER, ACTION

My first book by this author and I'm looking forward to reading more.

I listened to CROSS in audible, the narration was good and I got a good feel for the characters and the action.

As MC romance goes, this fulfilled everything I love about them.

Action, drama, hotness, danger.

When Roxie's father and her family are killed along with the rest of the MC by another MC, she runs and is determined to start again and leave that life behind her.

6 years later Roxie starts a new job working at a School as a guidance Councillor, she works with problematic pupils, this is when she comes across her new case, a young girl all the teachers have given up on, the daughter of an MC President.

Cross and Roxie are drawn to each other like magnets, they argue, she doesn't back down, Roxie has been used to men like Cross most of her life and she isn't intimidated by him, they have chemistry, she fascinates him they are both drawn to each other, its hot and they begin seeing each other.

After vowing to stay away from the MC life Roxie needs to decide if she wants to go with her heart or head and if she tells Cross who she really is and all about her past life.

I enjoyed it, I felt there were some info missing re Cross's daughter, why she acted up, why she had dreams, maybe it was in a previous book? I don't know but it all needed tying together, the puzzle pieces didn't make a bigger picture in the end with some things but I would read more in this series.

Loved this

Loved the book. Struggled at first thinking I would find it cringy as a females voice doing a mean biker didn't seem to fit with me but quickly adjusted and was very pleased with the narration aswell.

I personally love bikes so really enjoyed the overall feel.

Aiden Snow is Great wish he was narrated more

Aiden Snow ❄️ is great, Stephanie Rose not so much.. don’t get me wrong she’s ok just needs to get more into her character.. she made it feel so nauseating tone to hear anything this female character had to say wish was difficult since she was the main character .. he tone never changed it’s didn’t matter if it was a sex scene or her trying to be flirting in my opinion she just didn’t help bring the story to life like some narrators do. I’ve been looking for more MC Biker Audiobooks to come out with Thriller, suspense, club bunny drama where the new female characters put them in their place. This didn’t have all that but at least it had a lil more club action pack in it.. could turn that up a lot more.. I guess I have a lil darkness in me when it comes to Mc club books. I like it when a MC Biker book gets you so wrapped up in the suspense that you forgot to take the time to eat your dinner lol .. this is my first listen to one of Lena Bourne books hoping to see or hear more

Cross my heart!!

This book was very entertaining. The author was new to me and glad I gave it a shot. I knew both narrators and wasn't disappointed.
Not a lot of angst but the story was good and lots of naughtiness and a good listen.
Cross is the president of a biker family who is all male and alpha and has a preteen daughter he unexpectedly has to care for. His temperamental daughter sets the stage for meeting Roxie.
Aiden Snow sounded really good as Cross.
Roxie is the daughter of another biker family who survived a family tragedy and the story is about what takes place 6 years after her tragedy. This is when she meets Cross and the heat is on.
It's a fast listen and the story doesn't drag on. If there's a book 2 in the series I would listen. Go Cross with your badself!

The women narrator drove me crazy. Horrible. I wanted to love the story but she is not my cup of tea and I see shes on the rest. The only reason I will continue to listen is Aiden Snow!!

🌻🌻All modern romances need to include safe sex🌻

🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻V from Kansas🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻

Maybe I’m unique in my thoughts but, I just cringe when sex scenes of modern romances disregard the practice of safe sex. I don’t know, maybe I’m warped from raising four daughters and pounding the safe sex message into their heads. Yes, I know this is fiction and fantasy but, I just can’t help it. I mean, seriously, the Hero is almost forty years old and has been banging club whores and hook ups for 20 years. I just can’t buy into a Heroine that these facts wouldn’t cross her mind. Anyway, moving on....

I agree with other reviewers, the narration by Aiden snow was sexy and fitting, Stephanie Rose’s performance, not so much. She wasn’t the worst narrator I’ve ever heard, however, she not only didn’t add to the audio experience, she was an unpleasant distraction.

The story itself, was pretty good. It could have been a five stat listen but the tale felt incomplete. I expected the story to include the MC war the majority of the plot was based on; it did not. In addition, I ignored my own personal rule by spending a credit on a book that is 10 hrs long. I didn’t feel totally ripped off but, the next books, in this series, are shorter still. I has hungering for a new M C series but I’m afraid I’m going to have to wait for a sale before moving to the next books. A five hour book isn’t ever worth the cost of a precious credit.
