About this listen

The last thing I expected was to gain the spells of the woman in my bed.

Hell, I didn't even know magic existed until I'd cast a spell that morning. Then a beautiful teacher from a magical academy told me I could become the universe's most powerful mage. To get there, I need to become stronger. I need to ace all my examinations. And, most of all, I need to master the most potent spells.

But I have to start somewhere.

This begins my first year at the Mazirian Academy.

If I was a teenager and lived in America I would probably have enjoyed this book but I am not and do not, so I find myself not enjoying this book.

Like most examples of this genre the premises concept is good but ruined by its execution. The main character is a college age frat boy which the author interprets to mean a guy whose head is in the gutter thinking with his penis or whose head is in the clouds with serious delusions and lack of ability to think of the consequences of his actions.

The name of the title is a pun on procreation in reference to the fact the MC has sex magic. More accurately he is a power cloner who copies the magic of any woman he beds at their current power level. Read that again and understand what that means. Now understand that in the first chapter that the MC straight kills one of his would be teachers because of a "misunderstanding" and it is just written off as shit happens.

He finds out that the woman he bedded to get his first magic is the noble daughter of a much feared prison warden with death magic and the first thing he tries to do when seeing her is gloat (thank her) about how he has gotten a copy of her magic thanks to them smashing and he was going to do it in the packed canteen, the only reason he didn't die there is because someone with sense stopped him.

It is heavily implied that high elves kill his sort of mage on sight but their representative is a hot girl so you know how that's going to ends.

This is the level of plot armour that the MC enjoys, if you are fine reading a Randy Sue novel go ahead I won't stop you. But don't expect anything more than college humour and innuendoes packed into every chapter.
