Overall I did really enjoy this book - only things that got me where the male narrator (was not a good fit for this role and sounded a lot older than the character who’s suppose to be 35!) I couldn’t listen to the MC perspective in the spicy scenes without cringing a little - same as the first book tbh.

& the spice doesn’t happen until the last 2ish hours of the narration, which I didn’t mind because the story was beautiful however I thought it was rushed. The story focuses on Franco’s patience with Sam, yet when she goes through a traumatic ordeal..that’s when they decide to get seriously spicy? The same evening?? This timing doesn’t sit right with me.

Nd I can’t recall hearing a disclaimer for the mentions of Grape (if it does then i apologise) and although I didn’t find it triggering, others can - it goes into a little detail in a form of a flashback so please bear this in mind if you chose to listen.

As the narrators are the same for the rest of the books in this series, this is the only reason I will be reading those instead of listening.

Story and characters are lovely, not enough spice for me. Wouldn’t say it was a dark romance. Narration for FMC was great but MC was awful. Suppose to be a 35 year old Mob boss but sounded more like an old man! Sorry not the best!

I struggled a little with this one. It was going well, I was even enjoying it... but I was so shocked that she went from not even being able to talk to a man to having unbridled s 3 x 24/7 with him without any problem from one day to the next. I feel that the beauty about the story was him having a lot of patience with her and helping her feel better, then the story lost all that. She was way angry than she should hahaha.
