About this listen

My whole world changed when I stepped inside the academy. Nothing is right about this place or the other students in it. Here I am, a mere mortal among gods...or monsters. I still can't decide which of these warring factions I belong to, if I belong at all. I only know the one thing that unites them is their hatred of me.

Then there's Jaxon Vega. A vampire with deadly secrets who hasn't felt anything for a hundred years. But there's something about him that calls to me, something broken in him that somehow fits with what's broken in me.

Which could spell death for us all.

Because Jaxon walled himself off for a reason. And now someone wants to wake a sleeping monster, and I'm wondering if I was brought here intentionally - as the bait.

I want to give 5 stars but it's so similar to Twilight, Stephanie Meyer could sue for copyright infringement. The irony that it mentions Twilight was not lost on me.

Narrators have done a great job.

Enjoyable read but very similar to Twilight

Review Crave by Tracy Wolff
Like others I felt the similarities to the Twilight series, but that is all, just similarities and most of that is the all-consuming love story between human girl Grace and vampire Jaxon, set in a remote location.
Beyond these similarities Crave is a great YA read/listen. Some parts are very corny, some parts aren’t even well written, the characters are stereotypical, and there isn’t a lot of action until the final chapters (due to the all-consuming romance), but the world building makes up for all its faults, faults that are really only apparent to aged, hardened readers like myself. And despite the faults I was, like others, hooked from the first page and loved every minute of the nearly 15 hours it took to listen to – a listen that was narrated perfectly.
However, I was not keen on the ending of Carve and, think I am not going to enjoy book 2 as much, but that said, I am hooked and am still going to read the entire series.

A great YA read/listen

I’ve read this book physically several times, and love this series. Would recommend this series to anyone that loves a good vampire romance series with a lot of twists and turns and cliffhangers that make you ache to read the next one.

Love it!!

Did not enjoy it. Very corny and way too rushed. However this is just my opinion, if you like twilight you may enjoy it.
I just felt like the meeting of characters was too rushed and unnatural. Plus I disliked the heavily American narration and the constant use of words like “omg” and “he’s so hot” all the time.
No hate on the book or author, just am stating my opinion. Plus I heavily disliked how the main character was practically drooling over the new love interest and just detailing the connection the character felt she had based entirely on the characters looks. I liked the detailing of the schools castle though and the setting.

Not for me, but perhaps if you love twilight
