About this listen

My whole world changed when I stepped inside the academy. Nothing is right about this place or the other students in it. Here I am, a mere mortal among gods...or monsters. I still can't decide which of these warring factions I belong to, if I belong at all. I only know the one thing that unites them is their hatred of me.

Then there's Jaxon Vega. A vampire with deadly secrets who hasn't felt anything for a hundred years. But there's something about him that calls to me, something broken in him that somehow fits with what's broken in me.

Which could spell death for us all.

Because Jaxon walled himself off for a reason. And now someone wants to wake a sleeping monster, and I'm wondering if I was brought here intentionally - as the bait.

The main character is soo annoying, as is the case with the majority of FMCs in YA fantasy. Why everyone insists on writing them that way baffles me. However, because I'm so used to this, it doesn't put me off continuing with the series as they normally get less annoying over time.

Great narrators

i think it will be good for very yang reader, as a first fantasy book, the pase is si slow. it has some plot twists but nothing to complicated or exiting

its so obvios, its hard to read

it's a slow burn book which you are aware there is clearly something different about this school. the tension between Grave and Jaxon has you hanging for the next moment at each turn.

It’s a nice slow burn book like it doesn’t drag it out and the main character actually has a head on her shoulders. Just like most vampire books I’ve read tho is does get OBSESSED very quickly but it’s a clique that I don’t mind. It ends in a cliffhanger and her character twist did make me laugh slightly but still a very good book!!!!
