Usually I can not take dark stories. Rape being totally over the line of what my heart can take. This story was too close for comfort at times, while being enjoyable for other reasons. Threading the line of too much hurt. But finally staying on the side of a memorable story line and good reading.

Sawyer was comforted by having a friend like Bristol, who was as good as gold to her. Sawyer and Silas are fantastic together. Two damaged souls who healed each other. They both suffered betrayals, regrets, and heartbreak, but opened their hearts to love despite it all. I love their story.

Silas is the perfect broody grumpy older man and exactly what sawyer needs there relationship is hot and intense. Love the way they look out for and protect each other. A definite message at read!!!

Not listened to anything by this author before. Found loads of her books included. This was my first book of hers.
Really happy with it. Great story, characters and excellent narration. Nothing not to like.
I’m off to listen to another of hers now.
