Cooper is so many people’s favourite Lulu MMC and I can completely understand why! After just getting the grumpy glimpses of him in Jasper, I loved seeing the cheesy side of him with Freddie! He was so sweet with her, but also had the dirtiest mouth 🫠 There was a point towards the end where I just wanted to smack him (IYKYK) and he made me so mad, but I must say his grovelling redeemed him. Lulu is so good at writing grovelling heroes! 😍
I’m not usually a fan of insta-love, but it was done so well in this case. Jasper said it well, that everyone knew how Cooper felt about Freddie from the moment they met, so while it felt like things moved quickly in this book, we did have the build up in the first book.
Freddie stole the show for me! She was sassy, snarky and sometimes downright vicious but I loved how she stood up for herself and could handle herself with the guys! She was the best host and did everything she could to make Wolfie’s wedding so special. I love their friendship and the family dynamic with their parents and brothers too! She’s been through so much, but she still shows up for everyone around her. My heart broke for Freddie during the storm, but I also swooned with how well Cooper handled it 🥹 Their friendship escalated quickly but it felt like such a natural transition for them.
In typical Lulu fashion, the found family vibes were top tier! I didn’t expect for most of the book to be set in London for Jasper and Wolfie’s wedding but I loved that it was! It was such a fun celebration and just really showcased the friendships so well! I loved how the guys teased Cooper about Freddie and we got to see his possessive side 😍
I’m so excited to continue with Drew’s book! I’m torn between flying through the rest of Lulu’s books and taking my time to make them last 🙈 I just want to live in the Luluverse forever! 😍
I will say I love the story but I struggled with the audio, especially the narrator for Cooper. I just could not get past the fake accent 🙈
