About this listen

Are you ready to impress your friends & family with amazing knowledge and exciting tales of the constellations?

Have you ever looked up at the night sky and imagined what might be out there? You’re not alone! People have been wondering that for thousands of years.

Technology like telescopes and space shuttles are quite new, so before we could really investigate space, people would make up stories about what they thought was up there.

Some people saw heroes and monsters made out of stars, and would tell stories about them.

This book is going to tell you all about the wonderful things floating around above your head and teach you how to find some of the planets and special stars from your bedroom window.

Did you know:

  • There are some stars you can see from Canada that will never be seen from Australia?
  • Jupiter, the largest planet, has 80 moons?
  • One day on Venus lasts 6,000 hours? (That means one day of school would last over eight months!)

You’ll discover:

  • Why the ancient Romans are responsible for our galaxy being named after a chocolate bar!
  • Why your parents might be receiving messages from space when traveling!
  • Why sticking a pencil through an orange can help you visualize how the earth spins.
  • How to become a solar system expert
  • The planet that’s not home to aliens—but robots!
  • Why the moon’s gravity could be a surfer’s best friend!
  • The best time to see incredible events in the sky!
  • How to see a meteor shower every minute.

And much more!

You will discover all the tips and tricks to finding the constellations, as well as some amazing facts that will make you sound like a professional astronomer.

In 1968 Apollo 8 orbited the moon; I was 11 years old. And therein began my fascination with the sun, moon, and stars. I could name constellations and would spend ages looking for them; Orion and Cassiopeia were my favorites. This book brought back the thrill of it all. I want this for my grandchildren, so I will introduce them to this book.
"Constellations for Kids" is an excellent educational resource and a book that ignites a sense of wonder and curiosity about the vastness of the universe. It will encourage young readers to explore the night sky, appreciate its beauty, and develop a lifelong passion for astronomy. The Author goes into the back story from Greek Mythology about the constellations, which to me is wonderful because who knows where that might lead, maybe the Greek classics!
Whether your children or, in my case grandchildren are budding astronomers or simply curious about the stars, this book is a must-read for kids of all ages.
I love that the PDF is attached and that it's in color. And finally, the narration is excellent, perfect for children. Turn off the TV put on a pair of headphones and get lost in the wonder of the stars and the vastness of it all.

Fascinating for kids and adults too

This is a great educational guide with fun narration to help children learn about stars, planets, and other cool parts of the solar system. Although some topics are complex for children, the author describes them in a simple way and makes them very easy to understand. I played this when with my nephews and they loved it, they probably know more about this topic than I do now!

Fantastic for Kids

There are many who are fascinated about the stars, space, and the universe. Many of us have imaginations about what could be out there in the galaxy, and how we would like to be able to visit some of these places and possibly make discoveries. So this book is a great way to rekindle those interests and certainly help children build on this excitement. So thanks to the author for assisting me and others to relive a dream and for expanding children's creative minds.

I got this book for my Son basically because I myself was fascinated by space when I was younger so I had a listen myself and I have to say for a kids book it's really very thought provoking and it's packed with loads of information. It gave me prompts to all the things I learned as a child. Something I even learned from this book being that some countries will never see the same stars so I can promise you it's going to be educational for your child. The day and night time explanations are fantastic and when the topic of the Sun , Earth and Moon comes up this a really good simple explanation of how this all works. I never knew Jupiter had 80 moons so something else learned. I would definitely recommend this for your child. The narration seems in line with the fact that its a children's book
