Summary

A forbidden love. Unlikely mates. A secret romance.

Jenna Lockhardt has always been the perfect daughter. Being a princess means making sacrifices. Her responsibilities are clear. Keep the Royal lineage pure. Her future is set. She must take a compatible black panther as a mate. But a moment of rebellion has her transferring across the country to attend Archibald Reynolds College.

Chase Westin always knew he'd find his one true mate.... someday. He never expected that someday to be now. When he returns to college, it's the last thing on his mind but the arrival of an exotic beauty stuns him. She captivates him. She drives him insane. Chase knows these feelings are impossible. Dogs don't fall for cats. Now he just needs to convince his heart of that too.

For Jenna, mating outside the panthers is forbidden. Sealing a bond with Chase will bring grave consequences. Jenna must decide - duty, or her heart. Can she accept the sacrifices that come with her final decision? How will she choose?

Contains mature themes.

Chapter 7

And he still doesn’t know her real name! He literally handed her the phone and she programmed her own number in. What did she put as the name?

This is ridiculous.

I generally like this author and find the whole shifters as god’s caretakers for the animal population idea extremely intriguing, but major plot hole right off the bat!

**Major Spoiler Alert Ahead**

So annoyed at the ending. The war was so pointless! And Matt! I was extremely frustrated. I know it was done for dramatic effect but I felt like the drama could have been just as high if King Edmund had simply walked away at the last moment. He didn’t have to be gracious about it, but fighting was just stupid.

the Badlands are not in North Dakota

The Badlands are not in North Dakota and for somebody who lives 50 miles from the Badlands in South Dakota it's really annoying to have to listen to them being referred to as being in North Dakota over and over again

Dogs really do love Cats!

I really enjoyed book 4 of the Westin Pack Series. This story had a twist on the usual stories I read on wolf shifters, as the "One True Mate" is almost always another Wolf. So, it was refreshing to see that Chase found his one true mate in a beautiful Panther. The story was good and kept me very interested, because not only did Julie do a good job on keeping me interested in Chase and Jenna, she brought the other Westin family members in that I enjoy, so much!

We were also introduced to Chase Westin's Frat brothers, and I must say, I enjoyed them very much, especially Chad! Julie brought some past bad characters into the story that I will let the new listen figure out, but I am happy that I received some closure on that story line somewhat, and I laughed until I cried, when Chad went all Squirrel crazy on them.

To end, if your looking for a good series that won't waste your valuable time, this is the series for you! Each story, is unique and backed up with an amazing family. Enjoy!

Dimple Chase

This one was the best one yet, in my opinion. Loved the fact that you introduced the wide variety of shifters. If the everyone could just take the moral of the story to heart the world would be a better place.

Structure

I really enjoy the Westin pack series. My only argument is that the books seems to have 20 chapters leading up to the climax and then bam it’s over. I wish the climax was drawn out a little more and the resolution too.

Confusion for no reason

If someone called me by the wrong name I would just correct them. That's what normal people do. This book frustrates me to no end. Chapter after chapter could have been focused on something else. But. Instead on not knowing they are identical twins. If you never told him how will he know. God! I skipped through the book. Couldn't take it. Sad cause really loved the previous books.

VERY INTERESTING MIXED SHIFTER GOODNESS!

I wasn't so sure I wanted to listen to this story after getting used to a comfortable yet amazing ride with the former books in the Westin Pack series, but this is CHASE! You have to love sweet, fun, and handsome dimpled Chase. I'm this story we get a deeper glimpse into Chase with some very sweet twists. We also get a glimpse into the lives and behaviors of Jaguar and Panther Shifter's life. Though I personally do not agree with the habits and familial formation knowing well what actually panther habits are( a favorite animal :D), I still appreciate the way Mrs. Trettel weaves her story. In closing, lots of laughs, some tears, and an awesome ending. As always the narrators are fantastic and very skilled with tones and personalities. Five stars!
