Dr Emma Sky has written a book that offers an effective guide to help teenagers, and young
adults, understand, cope and mange the various and unique pressures they confront. All the
parental and peer-based expectations that teenagers feel they need to satisfy, can create
anxiety and pressure - actually leading them further and further away from really knowing
themselves and what they want and need. Living day to day in this world can be exhausting and
lead to depressive states, sleepless nights, withdrawal, irritability, etc. Teenagers may not even
know they need help coping, let alone where to get that help. Confidence for Teens Unlocked is
a valuable asset for teenagers. It helps them realize they are not alone, offers them ways to
assess where they currently stand and provides tools to better manage the pressures they are
facing. Though this book is well-suited for teenagers and written with a flavor that captures the
unique life perspective and challenges of the young adult, it offers valuable life-lessons and
practical methodologies that are useful beyond the teenage years - throughout ones’ life - since
life challenges don’t just end after your teenage years are over. Highly recommended for
teenagers, but even for parents who are interested in better understanding their teenagers and
want to support them in navigating the complicated lives with which they struggle.

Pruning can only happen when the tree is young. Building confidence for teens is something that if we miss out as parents they are damaged. Unless you have seen how kids get destroyed at teenage ages you won’t know how important it is to help them properly . There is no other resource than this one by Dr Sky with compelling examples that bring to life one’s self-worth. She weaves her experience and expertise in a fashion that is rare to find.
