About this listen

When Shaun takes a chance on an all-new developmental therapy to improve his mental well-being and lose some weight, he is thrust into the ride of his life. Fighting through an all too real fantasy land, with the assistance of another, often-difficult participant, he is able to realign his outlook on life - which turns out to be more important than he could have dreamed, as they are thrust into a real-world battle for survival that will resonate across the galaxy.

Starts as Litrpg (book 1) then becomes Space Opera. great series with driving story.

The main character gives off the feeling of someone with bipolar disorder or something, easily slaughtering hundreds with no remorse at one point then having a whole sad chapter of him moping because he killed a few dozen space Nazis with the express mission to arrest, experiment and dissect him. Or acts like a petulant child only to turn around a few minutes later to lead his people like a commander. Its annoying to see the character show no consistency in behaviour, having to be constantly told that he is a good leader, despite panicking and cursing at every appearance of an enemy, then happily slaughtering his way through droves of bodies that are nothing more than tripping hazards for him. The premise of the story is good; the execution of it, however is ruined by a terrible main character.

By far the most inconsistent main character
