Summary

Harper has a secret... and it's not that she likes girls. She has a rare talent: She can see how old other people will be when they die. Nothing she does changes this number, and that becomes especially clear when her mother dies in a car crash. With only one other person in the world who knows about and shares her gift, Harper is determined to keep her distance from everyone. Then she falls for Chloe… whose number is 16.

That means that Chloe doesn't have twelve months to live. She doesn't even have six. She is going to be dead by the end of the summer, unless Harper can find a way to stop it.

Wow

This book isn’t morbid as you think it could be, but it touches your heart and makes you think about living your life to the full and not having regrets. It has a lovely romance between the two characters. It was well written and narrated.

Another great hit from Siera Maley

I already read this book before, but I was excited when I saw Siera Maley is entering the audiobook market and knew I had to get the audiobook. I was a little nervous about the narrator since I didn't see any other books she narrated on audible, but she did a great job. She portray's the characters hesitancy, anguish, and excitement very well.

I read two of Siera Maley's books previously, Dating Sarah Cooper and Taking Flight. I loved them both and this was no exception. I like how the book is more about the best-friends aspect and less on romance (and even less on sex). The two girls have a great time with laser tag, walking the dog, and dying hair. Despite the somewhat morbid premise, I'm pleased to say it has a happy ending.

I also like robbie and hoped to hear more from him. I like stories where a female lead can have a male best friend who's reliable, always there for her, and not trying to date her. The supernatural element was a nice touch as a mcguffin. After reading many of the other reviews, i found it interesting nobody mentioned Death Note's shinigami's eyes. In retrospect, i doubt there's much audience overlap between a teen-romance and a horror anime. I think it could have been interesting if robbie and harper couldn't see each other's number, as a means of identifying each other.

Short but worth the listen

This is the second text I've read/listened to by Siera Maley, and again I am impressed. The characters were easy to follow and certainly likable. I'm happy to see that LGBT books are moving beyond the coming out narrative and going towards putting characters, who so happen to be gay, in tough situations. Looking forward to adding more of Maley's work to my own library. She is quickly becoming my new Julie Anne Peters! Also, smooth narration from Janine Granda :)

Amazing!!

One of the best books I’ve ever read. Well written. It has everything you want in a book. The Narrator’s voice was perfect. I hope there is a part 2. This book has a movie potential.

Made me really think!

Overall decent book! At first, I thought it was really morbid, like why would I listen to this, but as the book progressed, it made me really think about living life and regrets. Ultimately, it was worth the listen!!

Remarkable!

If I had that ability I would be so crazy trying to get ahead of time. The best part is that she had a friend to talk to about it. Off to my next adventure.

I love it so much.

This book made me so anxious and ridiculously worried when it was beginning to reach the end. I read this without really expecting much but oh god... I love the characters in this book, they were written so well they almost felt real. I especially loved Chloe a lot, she was the epitome of a lovable charming dork, definitely a cheeky and bubbly girl done right who doesn't get annoying in the long run. The ending felt a little rushed, I wanted to hear more of the aftermath. The chemistry between Harper and Chloe is amazing, I even cared for the side characters as well. I just wished we could've had more moments between the two without the dark cloud hanging over Harper's head, they're absolutely adorable together. I just really love this book okay..! And no.. I'm not crying, you are!
