Summary

What is a billionaire heiress supposed to do when all of her older siblings take to business like her parents, proving that business is in their blood.

But not hers?

There are many good choices. Unfortunately, Chloe decided that partying was the right one. Now, to keep her money, she’s required to attend daily meetings with the family psychologist - daily meetings about how she must change her present to change her future.

The worst part? The meetings are before noon, so she has to get up early. Then he presents her with an offer.

Invest in a new game company and become the first player to stay inside their full-immersion pod for two years.

Two years away from her parents looking down on her and from listening to her siblings and their success? Done. There's only one problem: Chloe's avatar connects to a Goddess of Retribution who doesn't remember her past.

Following the rabbit trail of armor to help the goddess will require more responsibility from Chloe than she has ever accepted before.

Will she return to being the party girl of her past, or will the Lagarde daughter tempered in fire wake up?

KF Rocks!

Chloe Lagarde is the youngest child of multi-billionaire parents. She's spoilt, lazy and only lives for partying every night of the week with her so-called friends. Her therapist gives her an opportunity to immerse herself into a new RPG game for 2 years. She's fully immersed in a pod and cannot come out at any time unlike the players that join the game when it goes public. She decides to go ahead with it as her parents have already given their blessing. Chloe quickly learns that she has to think for herself to stop herself dying ingame frequently. After returning to the game after yet another death, she finds herself in a deep cavern, one which an inexperienced player should have been able to find. There, she finds the bracers of the Goddess Kiera Freya, who talks to her and can control her to some point. As Chloe gets more into the game, she meets other players and joins them on quests. One of Chloe's quests is to find the rest of Kiera Freya's armor to bring her back in her entirity. As we go through the storyline, Chloe's quick thinking gets her and her friends out of trouble and over time, she's learning that she is not a no-good layabout daughter, but a strong independent woman that can get things done and is a strong leader amongst her new friends. I really liked the narration - i've never listened to this narrator before, but she does a really good job of narrating the storyline and brings it to life. Eagerly awaiting the next book in the series.
