About this listen

She is the perfect assassin.

A Russian orphan, saved from the death penalty for the brutal revenge she took on her gangster father's killers.

Ruthlessly trained. Given a new life. New names, new faces - whichever fits.

Her paymasters call themselves The Twelve. But she knows nothing of them. Konstantin is the man who saved her and the one she answers to.

She is Villanelle. Without conscience. Without guilt. Without weakness.

Eve Polastri is the woman who hunts her. MI5, until one error of judgment costs her everything.

Then stopping a ruthless assassin becomes more than her job. It becomes personal.

This started off well but soon lost its way. The end came before I even thought it had reached a conclusion. I guess it's making us all yearn for book 2!
A few dreadful pronunciation errors really should have been edited out.

Disappointing

Stories about seecret agents are not my typical choice but I heard the hype about the TV series and thought I would give it a go and have not been dissapointed by the story or the narration! Looking forward to the next instalment!

Gripping

Incredible

After watching the tv series I had a certain amount of trepidation listening to this book as I thought parts of the tv series were downright silly. Fortunately this book doesn’t suffer from the same issues and I enjoyed it enough to get the second book in the series.

Better than the tv series

Terrific casting of characters throughout the story with sublime personalities to them all from cold as steel to calm & calculated for most of them!

The plot is just spot on & no surprise this was such a success on TV!

I am pleasantly satisfied at the the book & glad it differed from the drama on TV.

Will look out for part two with a love for this series already!

Steve
