Summary

One FBI agent. One single mother. And a toddler who steals his heart.

All FBI agent Ethan Thomas wants is to come home to his new apartment and enjoy the luxury of his new flat-screen TV and some frozen pizza. Encountering a tiny toddler alone in the hall changes everything for the rough and rugged agent. Relief sets in when the child's mother appears. But when she collapses at his feet just before a blizzard hits Boston, Ethan is in over his head.

Now, Ethan is changing diapers, playing doctor, and loving every minute of it. The mother and child need a place to stay, and Ethan can't possibly turn them away. But this investigator knows people, and the woman he’s falling for is keeping secrets. Can he uncover the truth while protecting them from the dangers of his job?

Codename Romeo was such a great listen. There was enough action and sexy times to keep me entertained on my commute. Marie Smith has a great timber to her voice although I would have preferred a male narrator to voice Ethan.

Codename Romeo is an outstanding, twisted novel with intrigue, dynamite characters, and sinfully hot romance. From the opening pages to the end of the epilogue, I was hooked on Ethan and Julietta’s story. Her past is filled with danger and mystery, and her connection to little Luna is so beautiful. I loved watching Ethan fall hard for both of them, while he unraveled her trauma and fought for her future. The narrator did a wonderful job of bringing these three to life, embodying a villainous bad guy, Ethan’s friends, and assorted other supporting characters with realism and emotion. I was particularly pleased with the chapter from Victor’s viewpoint! This is a great series starter, I can’t wait to see where author Lucy Leroux takes us next!

Wow. This story has everything. I love the mystery, action, suspense and love. Ethan is a perfect hero, FBI agent, loyal, strong, intelligent, loving. Julie/Juliette is a surprise. She is a sweet, loving, kind, independent, strong woman. I love Luna, she makes the story in so many ways. I have not read any of the other books by this author or in this series, but it did not detract from my enjoyment or hinder my interest in and love for the secondary characters that come from other stories. Very well written, great character depth, excellent story movement and flow. Revised to add, I listened to the audible version in June of 24 and love it all over again. The narration has good flow, nice tone and cadence.
