Summary

A book to change your life.... A special 10th anniversary edition of this best-selling novel has been revised and expanded throughout. The missing pieces that were left out before are now ready to see the light of day.

When a mysterious fire ravages a Hollywood studio backlot, exploited child star Clay Grant disappears, but not before he retrieves his journal from the flames. Maybe he should have let that burn, too? Fifteen years later, Clay stays one step ahead of everything: his pain, his past, and the accusing voices that keep him running - until the person he fears most reappears. Now Clay must find a way to escape for good.

Out of options, Clay arrives in majestic Cliff Falls under an overcast sky and quickly learns that no one escapes life. What happens when you run into everything you've been running from? What Clay discovers will change his life and perhaps yours.

YoYou will find something priceless in this novel

This novel about a world famous child star by Cliff Shiepe is deeply moving and highly life affirming. The main character, like many of us if we were completely honest, struggles at times wtih low self esteem. If you’ve always thought God mostly was just wanting to show you all your shortcomings, or disheartened by others who act the same way, then you will find something priceless in this novel; something of immense value that you will never forget. This is a story of facing your worst fear and being restored in ways you never thought possible. The narration is done by actor Santino Fontana of Disney "Frozen" fame does a remarkable performance. I highly recommend!

Unexpected Amazing find! What a treasure!

I ran across this novel because I wanted to listen to the wonderful voice of Santino Fontana. Wow! I so happy I did. I couldn’t stop listening. I identified so much with the main character in all his faults, self-doubt and loathing plus the feeling like I’ve not liked me because of things that happened to me as a child that were out of my control. I also identified with him when learning what real love is and where it comes from. I was left satisfied and very encouraged in my own relationship with myself and my creator. Thank you C. B. Shiepe for the vision to write this & thank you Santino Fontana for bring this beautiful work to life for me, without that I may have issued this gem - Jennifer Brouillard
