Summary

I’m not Mr. Settle-Down-and-Start-a-Family.

Tried it. Failed at it. Don’t want it again.

In fact, I like my solitary life in the mountains.

I learned the hard way that life ain’t easy or fair.

One minute you think you’ve got it all figured out and the next, you find your wife in your bed with your own best friend.

So I mind my business. I keep to myself.

Then Quinn Prescott shows up to rent the lower level of my cabin.

Sweet, innocent Quinn with her persistent attempts to get to know me and her constant questions.

Those big doe eyes have a story behind them.

She wants more than just a casual hookup and she deserves more.

She deserves it all. Dates and flowers and happily ever after.

But I’m not the man who can give it to her, and the quicker she understands that, the better.

I tell myself just one small touch.

One lingering glance into her piercing blue eyes.

One taste of her sweet, pouty lips.

But it’s not just once. It’s an all-consuming desire to claim her, to make her mine.

I can feel myself losing grip on the situation but I don’t care.

I keep telling myself that when her lease is through in three months...so is this make believe we're living in.

Then my ex shows up with a baby, claiming it’s mine and reminding me why I live by the rules that I do.

Only it’s too late, I’ve let Quinn in and now she’s carrying a secret of her own.

I thought putting up these walls around my heart would protect me from ever falling again, but I was wrong.

No matter how many times I try to lie to myself, this thing between us isn’t just lust—it’s something so much more and it’s something I’m about to lose forever.

Grab book 1 in a brand new mountain man series that will have you swooning for these brooding alphas. Each book in this series will have you clutching your heart with off-the-charts heat and all the feels. You might be tempted to slap these frustrating men a few times but you’ll fall in love with each one before it’s over. Each book in this series can be listened to as a stand-alone but they're better in order.

Book one of five

This story is brilliant and so well written. I need more, when are the other four books going to be released on audible?
The duel narration works so well with the story and the narrators are well-matched to the characters.
The chemistry is sizzling hot and leaves you in a dream state.

Quinn and Sawyer!

Quinn has just enduring a devastating tragedy so she decides to book a mountain cabin for three months to get away and work on the romance novel she wants to write. When she arrives she is taken aback by her cantankerous landlord but it is only a matter of time before her sunny personality has them spending time together.

Sawyer has been hurt by the people he thought he could trust and all he wants is to be left alone. When he meets Quinn she breaks through the walls he has built around his heart but the relationship they are building could be destroyed by his questionable choices when it comes to his past.

Quinn and Sawyer have dealt with the hands that life have dealt them very different as she is searching for love and he wants nothing to do with it however what starts off as hot chemistry turns into so much more. The narrators were a great choice for the characters as they brought out the personalities of the characters and the emotions they were feeling. 🎧Audiobook Obsession

Amazing listen!

Well, the is my first book by Alexis Winter and I am wondering what took me so long. This is a fantastic love story, full of emotions and passion and the journey is amazing. Sawyer is a dealing with pain. Catching his wife cheating has him not wanting to get involved with women from now on. When Quinn Prescott moves in below him though, his heart is telling him something else. Quinn has taken the summer off. The recent death of her mother has effected her greatly, and she is taking the time to get her life in order and deal with her grief. She is immediately smitten with Sawyer, and though he is attracted to her, he is doing his best to keep his distance. But can he? And the story begins. Chemistry is explosive, her grief is real and his past, well it comes literally back to haunt him. What will become of these two lost souls? Fantastic story line, bringing my heart into the story right along with these two characters. I have fallen in love with them and truly enjoyed this man of Rocky Mountain!

The story is told to us by Javi Wilder and Meg Sylvan and could not have been more perfectly cast. Wilder is the perfect alpha, raspy man to play Sawyer. He gives him the aura of grumpiness and shines his heart through. Sylvan is always amazing, and she pulls all the emotions with Quinn. Bringing the chemistry to life even before Sawyer realizes it, Sylvan throws herself into the the relationship as Quinn. Loved this team, they made the listen fantastic!

Riveting!

Claiming Her Forever is wonderfully written and the perfect start to the Men of Rocky Mountain Series. Loved the small-town setting; it made the story more charming and heart-warming. Alexis Winter did a brilliant job with the poignant elements of the story. I felt the turbulence of the emotions, was moved by them and connected even more with Quinn and Sawyer. The way Quinn and Sawyer's relationship was portrayed, the ups and downs of it, felt natural. Their journey was emotional, passionate, intense, and realistic; it was impossible not to become captivated and fully committed to the outcome for the characters.

Stellar performances by Javi Wilder and Meg Sylvan. They truly captured the character's personalities, playing their roles flawlessly. Each gave voice to the complexity of emotions, connection, and the personas of the cast. Claiming Her Forever is a well-written and well-plotted small-town/Alpha romance with quality narration. An absolutely fantastic listen, one I'll highly recommend.

This was a short, quick listen, it was fun and a bit cheesy, but overall it was an enjoyable story dealing with grief, trauma and love.

Small Town Alpha Mountain Man Romance

Claiming Her Forever by Alexis Winter is a small-town alpha mountain man romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Javi Wilder and Meg Sylvan. This is the first book in the Men of Rocky Mountain series and can be read as a standalone.

This is the first book of Alexis's that I have read, and it won't be my last. This book took me on an emotional rollercoaster I never wanted to get off. I laughed, I cried, and smiled so much while listening to it.

The relationship between Quinn and Swayer was a bit messy but you couldn't help but root for them. I really enjoyed getting both of their points of view throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.

Javi and Meg did a great job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would recommend this book if you like contemporary romances, small town romances, or alpha male romances.

She rents a cabin in forested Colorado. The owner of the cabin lives in the upper level. Sawyer is Quinn’s landlord for the next three months.

Great Story & Narration🎧 Steamy & Emotional!

I enjoyed this book immensely, it is an original and well written small town romance that contains some steam and a whole lot of heart. The story grabbed my attention right from the start and captivated it the entire time. The characters are realistic, easy to relate to and connect with, they were easy to care about too, even Sawyer, the mountain man who first appears as a grumpy alpha-hole. Quinn Prescott is broken-hearted when her Mom loses her battle with cancer, it had always been her and her Mom. After settling things with their home, she booked a three-month stay in the Colorado Mountains so she could write a book. Her rental is on the first floor of a cabin, the landlord, Sawyer, lived on the second floor. Sawyer, damaged and broken-hearted after finding his wife and his best friend in their bed, it left him cynical and never wanting to fall in love again, his heart could not take another loss. He does not give Quinn the warmest of welcomes when she arrives, but he comes around and warms up to her quickly. The chemistry between them is off the charts and it was only a matter of time before he would give in to his desires and attraction to her and she of him, but he must get past his inner demons before he can fully open up to her. When his past comes back to haunt him, it throws his life in to a spin and he handles it poorly and pushes the best thing that has come in his life away. This wonderfully plotted story takes you on an emotional rollercoaster ride. The story is entertaining and there is no shortage of drama, angst, small town charm, heartfelt emotions and steamy romance. Alexis Winter, thank you for this great story.

🎧📚🎧 And for the fabulous narration, Alexis Winter chose the perfect cast to bring her characters and story to life. Javi Wilder and Meg Sylvan are talented narrators and versatile voice artists. They had a complete understanding of the characters they portrayed, gave each a voice that was a perfect fit to that character’s persona, sounding believable and just as I pictured the characters to sound. Sylvan’s Quinn was spot on, she grasped all her emotions and had you feel every single one. Wilder nailed it as Sawyer, captured his grumpy alpha-tude and showed his softer side too, Both were great performing the roles of the secondary characters as well. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for this wonderful listen.

Good Listen

Quinn goes to the mountains for a new start and inspiration for her book. She meets Sawyer and knows she is attracted to him. Sawyer is hot and cold and can't decide what he wants. They finally start a relationship and the past comes back and Sawyer can't handle it at the cost of Quinn.
