Summary

Blackmailed. Accused of theft. Suspected of murder. What else can go wrong?

Three months after the death of her husband, Nora McIntyre is back in her hometown of Moorbank, living with her man-mad mother, Marian James. Homeless, penniless, and hopeless, Nora has to beg for a job, but instead of a fresh start, it’s the start of all her troubles.

Before she knows it, unmet blackmail demands lead to accusations of theft. When her accuser is found murdered, Nora is the main suspect, and PC Tom Fergusson is determined to prove her guilt. Luckily for Nora, her mum will do anything to clear her name, even if it’s not entirely legal….

Against her better judgement, Nora allows Marian to drag her along on a manic mission to prove her innocence. If only she’d known pink wigs and wheelchairs were an essential requirement for crime-fighting, she might have come prepared. Oh, and don’t forget the tea and biscuits!

Please note: The Murder in Moorbank series is written in UK English.

Outstanding

The subtle humour was great. It kept catching me unawares. I hope this is the first of many stories with these characters

Gripped from the start!

That was great fun! I was amused, scared, intrigued, annoyed with the characters and all sorts! The ending was a great surprise! Well done Susi!
