About this listen

A beautiful friends-to-lovers lesbian romance about taking risks and figuring out that sometimes the perfect person has been right in front of you all along.

Kylie and Regan have been best friends since kindergarten, supporting each other through thick and thin.

While everyone thinks they would be perfect for each other, they insist there's no chemistry between them - and Regan should know since she's a chemistry teacher.

To prove it, they agree to a little chemistry experiment: They'll go on three dates with each other.

So what if their gazes start to linger and accidental touches no longer feel platonic? They chalk it up to the romantic atmosphere - until a friendly good night kiss turns passionate.

Can their friendship go back to the way it was before? Do they even want it to? Or will they risk losing what they have for a chance at love?

Contains mature themes.

Of course narration is perfect as always. I kept waiting for the angst to come and thankfully it did not, which makes this book so great to listen to without cringe and eye roll of the usual lesfic with a dramatic middle.

This story also refers to TWO other books by Jae and their characters which I loved.

Sweet and fun

Chemistry teacher Regan has been best friends with Kylie since kindergarten. When their friends insist their friendship is more than platonic, they agree to conduct a scientific experiment. They go on three dates to prove there's no chemistry. However, after a not-so-platonic goodnight kiss, will the evidence bubble to the surface?

This book resonated; well, what lesbian hasn't had feelings for a friend at some point?! 😳🫣🤣

With some cameos appearances of Denny and Eliza and Jenna Blake’s music playing in the background, what more could I ask for?!

Bubbling with chemistry

Good narration and believable, likeable characters.
I wanted to like this story more than
I did. The frequent nostalgic nods to the pairs early years friendship, made them getting together just feel weird and awkward to me.

Not my favourite of Jai’s books

Loved the book and the narration didn’t disappoint. Kyle and Reagan are best friends but don’t realise they are also more thank that until challenge by friends. This is a fun, sweet romance.

Loved it as always with Jae's books. And Abby Craden did her usual stellar performance.

I loved the chemistry t-shirts as well they were a cute running gag. And seeing Denny and Eliza and Heather again was wonderful!

So cute!
