About this listen

Matt Hansen. Hot single daddy. Arrogant. Rude. Older. My boss. Totally off limits...right?

Matthew Hansen is the kind of handsome that has grown women whispering behind their hands and giggling like schoolgirls. Dark, tall and mysterious, he's a newcomer to our little town. He's a gritty, grease-covered mechanic, and a single daddy. Sweet, right? Plus, he's looking for a nanny—and I am desperately looking for a job. Sounds like the perfect deal.

Only he's a jerk. An uncivilized, hulking brute. Zero manners. Zero interest in making me feel welcome in his home. Downright rude. But oh, so sexy. And I need the job. I can do this.

One thing is for sure: I can't fall for the caveman. No matter how sexy he is. How mysterious. How tortured. That's the only rule—and one I'm about to break.

This book came up on my suggestions and I love listening to Jacob Morgan narrate so I went with it. It’s quite steamy and those parts of the story are quite good but the overall storyline was a bit wishy washy and there was definitely plots in there which lead to nothing, so not sure why Jo decided to write them in (Octavia’s paternity - bubbled over and eventually came to nothing within the story anyway so seemed a little pointless).

Not the best storyline

My third book by Jo Raven and another good read and now on audible the narrators were excellent as usual, I’m looking forward to the 2nd book in this series.

Again I struggled with the narration, specifically the gasping of the female lead every third sentence, or do it seemed; the guy was ok monotone but fit with the depressed character really well, so well cast in that respect.
Storyline underwhelming as so predictable, but quite saucy in parts.

sweet sexy story - no surprises

So glad I read Zane, Ink Brotherhood Series, because I didn’t realised the connection until late in Caveman that Zane and Matt are connected. Loved that the books were connected in that way, because suddenly it became clear that part of Zane’s story in the Ink Brotherhood Series became a back-story for Caveman and gave the book a great context. Narrators, Jacob Morgan & Anna Riordan superb as always 🥰

The story was very poorly plotted to be honest. The female narrator is terrible. Every sentence is a statement. No emotions in her narration I know the FMC is 18 but the way this narrator speaks make her sound like a 14yo bratty girl
