Summary

The dead walk!

It's the time of year when the immortal army of the ancient king rides Watling Street and the dead become uneasy in their graves. Indeed, in the far north of Warwickshire, the villagers insist that one dead man returned to kill his only son. Now it's up to Sir Faucon de Ramis, the shire's new Crowner, to run the walking corpse to ground and put him back where he belongs.

Fabulous

What a superb climax to the series so far. I have enjoyed every minute of this series. Superbly crafted, beautifully written and brilliant narration. Please, don’t let this be the end of Sir Crowner!

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the series and look forward to the next episode. Excellent story telling and an excellent narrator/performer.

Very good

The horrors of superstition and a greedy church are the themes of this audiobook. Sir Faucon is a wonderful hero.

Fabulous series

Loved all the books in this series and hope there’s going to be another one. Engaging mysteries with four main characters set after the introduction of a coroner. 5*

More please

Such wonderful characters grappling with mysteries and mysteries of life in general. I think I’ve read them all and so hope the author adds more to these adventures in history.

Thoroughly enjoyed all of them!

Really good plots. Each one separate but somehow linked. With the last one I didn't see it coming until the final journey and the end of that was unexpected - for me anyway. I thought I'd read all the medieval mystery series but Denise Domning was a surprise. I wonder if we've seen the last of Sir Faucon and Co. The narrator was perfect for these stories and helped bring the characters to life even the sad one that haunted the stories. I will miss them now.
