While traveling through West Virginia on a camping trip, the Bakers and the Riveras - two close-knit families - have the misfortune of running into a peculiar hitchhiker. Let me start by saying I always love me some Jon Athan, he’s one of my favorite authors but this was a fairly typical backwoods hillbilly cannibal story of which I have read many. This is not the authors fault though and I still found the story interesting, fast-paced and had plenty or gore to go around, so I still enjoyed it. This is a 3.5 to 4 star book and is certainly worth reading. I would recommend to fans of realistic horror. I listened to the audiobook and the performance was very good.

Pretty traditional inbreed family cannibal story…
