I think this story could have been extended, somethings were cut short or not expanded on. having said all that, I really enjoyed it. definitely worth a read.

Expected it to be a light-hearted, typical romance book. But the accents...awful. Character has a childish, immature personality, basically lying to herself. "Crossing my fingers behind my back" - really? Not for everyone. Disappointed, expected better from Kinsella.

Found the narrator's lisp irritating from the beginning (sorry!). Obviously can't be helped.

I’ve reread this again. I have an old, tatty paperback that’s been handled a lot & thought I’d enjoy the Audio version for a change. I wasn’t disappointed. The narrator is funny & entertaining in her delivery. Doing justice to one of Kinsella’s romcoms.

For me I really liked how easy it was to listen to. I got to know the characters quickly and I liked how it had a little twist when I thought the plot was going to be straightforward. Great for those of us who just love an easy rom com.
