didn't think I'd like the " historical story" as much , but that was brilliantly performed by Eric conger and the story took on a different path .

Oh God, I LOVED this. It's light, it's fun, it's not transformative literature, but it's SO well plotted, written, researched, told and read! I've already given it as a gift about five times and everyone loves it. I had goose bumps at every big revelation. I'm not going to spoil it for you, so just buy, listen, enjoy! I promise you will thank me. x

Eric Conger effectively a 1/5 for me. I can only described him as incredibly robotic, almost like a schoolboy being forced to read aloud in class. And rather than improving, it became more noticeable as the book progressed.

Nicol Zanzarella was also wooden/AI-ish but made the story more tolerable, if it wasn't for the fantastic story that drew me in i would have given up.

overall Brilliant story somewhat ruined by mediocre narration. Would absolutely listen to another Lee Goldberg.

I was expecting a police procedural story so this book really took me by surprise. It starts with a car accident and the policewoman sent to deal with it and then gets a little spooky. Then you go into a totally different story which runs parallel to the main story. Sounds unbelievable but written in such a believable way. Very clever! I marvel at the author’s ability to put this story together. Most enjoyable - I hope it gets made into a film!

Absolutely fantastic read, Lee Goldberg is my new favourite author, plus superb narrators Nicol Zanzarella and Eric Conger bring the story and characters to an all time high. There aren’t enough compliments to explain how I feel about this story, I’m exhausted following the mind bending, roller coaster adventure. I highly recommend you read/listen to this audiobook with a “do not disturb, or else” notice on your door along with snacks and drinks to keep you company. 😊

Move over Marty McFly, Ben Cartwright has “entered the building” 😉
