About this listen

They told David it was impossible - that even the Reckoners had never killed a High Epic. Yet, Steelheart - invincible, immortal, unconquerable - is dead. And he died by David's hand.

Eliminating Steelheart was supposed to make life more simple. Instead, it only made David realize he has questions. Big ones. And there's no one in Newcago who can give him the answers he needs.

He found some of those answers in FIREFIGHT. Now, he has to decide what to do with them . . .

Critic reviews

I'll be honest here Calamity blew me away, it was fast and frantic, witty and beautiful with some real nail-biting moments, this is book three anything could happen. I devoured this book and would happily read the trilogy again.
This is a story that will jump out the pages, leave your heart racing and completely pull you into that world. This is one adventure that you cannot miss.
Sanderson is known for his frequent short stories and experiments with novels, so we have hope that this will not be the end of theReckoners series. For now though, this created an excellent and tense conclusion to a remarkable fantasy series.

I love the storey and am never sure on switching from printed to audio, how it can affect the characters you create within your mind me. This actor is fantastic, the genuine emotion he displayed and read... Simply great.

Great reader/actor

Another great story from BS and very well narrated by MacLeod Andrews.
A satisfying end to the Reckoners series.
I recommend highly if you like Brandon Sanderson's books - very different to Stormlight & Mistborn but great in its own right.

I liked this trilogy a lot

There is nothing more to say other than brilliant. There are few writers who can submerge you in a story like Brandon Sanderson. Loved every minute.

Exceptional.

Came across this trilogy by accident and have not been disappointed hope there will be follow on stories

Consistent good trilogy

Wow. The narrator (and audio team) deserve awards for this performance. Truly, truly exceptional. Every voice was different and instantly recognisable, without feeling comedic in any way. The emotion and tone of voice was always spot on. There was even a moment where he stood away from the mic to give a sense of 'coming from the other room'.

Not enough back story and character building, and not quite believable enough, (yes it's fantasy but you know what I mean) hence 4 star. You needed to have listened to the previous books (which I had) to really get it, (at a guess).

Would greatly recommend to anyone who likes Marvel's agents of shield. Lots of similarities. Perfect length to.

Just great!

The best narration I've ever heard!
