Summary

Tristan is one of my biggest clients. He always pays on time, and he always keeps his word. But this time, he's short on cash. He needs the shipment now, so he offers me collateral. He loans me his slave, Adelina.

Now that Pearl and I are so close, I can't condone this type of exchange. It's wrong. Inhumane. But she wants me. I can tell.

And I definitely want her.

Buttons and Shame is told from Cane's point of view, but Crow and Pearl have their own POV's to develop the overall story.

Cain Finds His Heart ❤️

What a thrill to have another taste of the Barcelli brothers. Cain is the main subject of this part. Crow and Button are also present as well as a new character that catches the attention of Cain. This book is just as awesome as the first three. And I can't wait to start part 5. Excellent storyline and intriguing characters!

Repetitive

It was like reading the first book all over again with different characters. Since it ended on a cliffhanger I'm going to continue but the story is getting old now. And Pearl has got to be the most irritating character in the world.

Cane is different than Crow as we know, it took me several chapters to get into this book but once I did, I was hooked.

My favorite book thus far in this series!!:)❤❤🤗😻

So far what I really am enjoying is first the fact that just because it was supposed to be Canes chance at a story that surprisingly continued with hearing the POVs of Pearl and Crow and then switches to Canes which is incredibly cool and I really didn't expect that. Most authors dont do that and it made me really like this series so much more and so far I have liked this book more than when it was just Pearl and Crow.
Second, I really enjoyed the way that the narrator did the voice of Cane. It was refreshing to hear in his POV.

That's all I have to say for now since I have not finished with this book yet and just had to say this first so as soon as I am finished I will update my feedback.

Update:
Well it was AWESOME and I am on to listening to the next book in this series!!!

Completely absorbed

This series is everything!!

From start to finish, I didn’t breathe, I didn’t eat, I didn’t smile, I didn’t do anything... ok, maybe I’m lying. But it felt like it.

For days, I was in a trance. My earbuds glued to my ears as I made my way through this epic, dark, twisty and angsty journey. I got little sleep because I just couldn’t put it down. I can’t even review separately because I couldn’t stop long enough between books to review.

And that is no joke.

Michael and Samantha couldn’t have been more perfect. They portrayed all characters so distinctly that I knew exactly who was speaking at all times and that couldn’t have been easy. They are truly talented.

I loved it!

Once again, I was impressed. The only thing I wondered was where Adelina's accent went when Michael was narrating her. I loved seeing a different side to Cane that we all hoped was there from previous installments of this series. I'm moving right on to the next one!

Any additional comments?

I read all 3 prior Button novels; I'm not a fan of cliffhangers but this journey have got me hooked.

Love Caine’s first book

I liked Caine in the first 3 books, and enjoyed this first book about him. Love both characters and the story. My only complaint is the male narrator’s female voice. It’s awful. However, it is still worth listening to. Don’t let it stop you from listening.
