About this listen

Penguin presents the unabridged, downloadable, audiobook edition of Business for Punks written and read by James Watt.

START A REVOLUTION NOT A BUSINESS

Don't waste your time on bullsh*t business plans. Forget sales. Put everything on the line for what you believe in.

These are some of the mantras that have turned BrewDog into one of the world's fastest-growing drinks brands, famous for beers, bars and crowdfunding.

In Business for Punks, BrewDog co-founder James Watt bottles the essence of this success. From finances ('chase down every cent, pimp every pound') to marketing ('lead with the crusade, not the product') this is an anarchic, indispensable guide to thriving on your own terms.

As hard as the author wishes it wasn't this is just another re hash of the same old same old but delivered at pace in a broad Scottish accent. It's ok, up beat but a bit lacking in substance.

Would you try another book written by James Watt or narrated by James Watt?

No

Would you be willing to try another book from James Watt? Why or why not?

No - he gets lost in his own self arrogance.

Any additional comments?

The story behind this business is great. The owner/author gets lost in his own self importance and that invalidates the useful content. Its an interesting listen if you can detract from the arrogance.

Brash and ballsy
