A Must Read

This is a really good listen, not only from the practical `tit bits` and fascinating story of one of our Great business men, but vastly enhanced by the fact that it?s read by the man himself. Unlike his autobiography, Loosing My Virginity, Business Stripped Bare is an excellent listen as the author is able to articulate far more so than any narrator, the feeling and exhilaration behind the stories and history, the amusement and exasperation? A simple must read for all Branson enthusiasts and business managers alike. A definite will listen again too.

An excellent listen

So interesting that I found myself making excuses to find time to hear more and got through it in a couple of days. Interesing insights and so much better that it's read by the man himself, from wherever he preferred.

Excellent listening material. Inspirational.

Inspirational, lots of great advice, namley, distinguishing entrepreneurship vs business management. Could have done without the SJW pandering, however years of carefree partying have probably created the guilt necessary to motivate political correctness on the part of R.B.

Short

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

Kinda? ....... Well in an even shorter explanation of this book is basically........ Look for new trends.....Listen to all employees opinions...... Recruit young enthusiastic management, with experts on some occasions..... and take the odd risk! His voice puts you in a trance of "what a nice guy". All put into a Virgin perspective.

Profound insight and unique perspective revealed.

Once again, sir Richard, delivers sound advice and profound insight into his visionary entrepreneurial leadership and management methods. This book offers a concise, no-nonsense review of what, to his belief, constitute critical components of Virgin's highly successful and dynamic, global business and brand, strategic and tactical leadership and management formulae. Sir Richard underpins the importance of his Virgin team in terms of their unique working environment and the type of person employed there; the result is a top down inspired Virgin community and culture that nurtures and empowers Virgin types and values. Real-life experiences, both successes and mistakes illustrate in Aesop-like fashion the value of experience; learning quickly from mistakes is deemed an investment, not a cost, and thus frames a refreshing and healthy attitude to risk taking, which appears a cornerstone of Virgin's culture, a defining trait of Virgin character, perpetuating a Virgin can-do attitude. Virgin cultivates mobile, globally aware, positively optimistic, inspired, can do, business teams whom thrive and endeavor to continually innovate and lead as a norm of cultural practice in a volatile business world and environment where rapid change is only one of a very few other certainties!

This justifiably deserves my two thumbs up! (5/5 stars).
What it first seems will become an awkward, rushed home narrative, surprisingly vanishes and the style, instead, adds authenticity and a genuine feel to this pioneer's legacy. Branson's real to life depiction of Virgin's global business journey is perfectly suited to audio book format.
(My decision to burn CD's for the drive around town, ended with my sitting in the car in the car park at my first destination, astute and entrapped until the end).
Furthermore, the narrative continues to refresh, motivate and inspire the more it is listened to. I'm confident and hope it will reach out and have a similar affect on you!

awesome listen, wish it was unabridged

This one's a great listen, narrated by the man himself. My only complaint was that it ended too early because it isn't unabridged.

Really an Autobiography

Interesting in that I'm a fan of this great entrepreneur, but it is really an autobiography more than a how to book. Just so you know.

A worthwhile listen

Well narrated by Richard Branson who tells many stories about the reasons for the success of his Virgin brand of companies. It's not a 'how to' business book but more an insight into the traits that have made him a success. A worthwhile listen.

Awesome

I'm a bigger fan with every book. If there's one entrepreneur to look up to, that's Branson. And apparently, great writer too. I don't mean to overflatter the guy, but even his narration. His view on business, leadership and life in general is certainly unique and inspiring, and one most definitely worth checking out.

Like a private meeting with Mr. Branson

This summary of his book "Business stripped bare" is like sitting with Mr. Branson and listening to his many stories.
You get to know a little bit how he thinks and acts.
This is not a "business" book, but a series of tales from a great business man.

Refreshing

Any additional comments?

I read this to enjoy and appreciate Richard's values and way of life. As such, it delivers. It's similar to the other book I also liked: Screw it. Let's do it.
