Summary

Hannah Hart - comedian, author, YouTube star and creator of My Drunk Kitchen - opens up with a revealing memoir about her life, past loves, family and relationships. Refreshingly honest and narrated by Hannah herself, it's an equal parts touching, hilarious and thought-provoking glimpse into an extraordinary life.

By combing through the journals that Hannah has kept for much of her life, this collection of narrative essays delivers a fuller picture of her life, her experiences, and the things she's figured out about family, faith, love, sexuality, self-worth, friendship and fame.

Revealing what makes Hannah tick, this sometimes cringeworthy, poignant collection of stories is sure to deliver plenty of Hannah's wit and wisdom and hopefully encourage you to try your hand at her patented brand of reckless optimism.

Personal note:

Hello, my darlings! I am incredibly pleased to present Buffering: Unshared Tales of a Life Fully Loaded!

As a big fan of memoirs, I wanted to try my hand at writing about the events of my life that deserve a little more consideration than can be accomplished in 140 characters or a six-minute vlog. Now on the cusp of turning 30, I'm ready to expose some parts of my life that I haven't shared before. Before, it was all about privacy, process and time. And now the time has come! I'm ready to put myself out there for you. I'm a little nervous about all these vulnerable words going into the world, these tales about my love life, the wrestling I've done with faith, how I feel about sex and my family and myself. I've had a lot of trials, a lot of errors, but also a lot of passion. Here's the thing: I've always found comfort in the stories shared by others, so I hope my stories, now that I feel ready to tell them, will bring you some comfort, too.

And when you listen to this book, please remember: buffering is just the time it takes to process.

Enjoy!

Love,Hannah

Heartfelt

People have told me that I am a heartless person who does not care about other people. I have believed them my whole life. I have never felt any attachment to my family or any other I have met. But it's been a rollercoaster of emotions when I heard your life. I truly felt happy when Hannah got laid and I was on the brink of tears when it ended. Thank you Hannah for showing me that even a sociopath like me can feel emotions. Love You Lots.

Funny, sad and powerful

great book, brilliantly read. Hannah really opens herself in this. Showing the pain as well as her usual light that has carried her through. A huge well done to Hannah as this can't have been easy to write or read.

I Called In Sick For Work For This

And it was completely worth it ❤️

Hannah’s voice is an audible hug, and having listened to all available episodes of the podcast Hannahlyze This, I simply had to purchase.
Thought provoking, raw and inspiring- all woven together with the wit Hart is known for. Listening to this will be an incredible resource for many, many people.

Funny, heartwarming, poetic, truthful, sometimes gritty.

Loved hearing Hannah tell her story outloud. It's one of victory in small ways. I love the way she describes her relationships. There are times when it all seems so hopeless but she manages to find Hope. Thank you for telling your story Hannah! Wish you all the best in the future. Thank you for your humour! 😘🌈💕👌

Velvet smooth voice and gripping story.

Hannah doesn't think her story is all that special, but she really manages to resonate with anyone that has a parent that was ill. The struggle of taking care of them, instead of the other way around and the identity doubt this causes is very relatable and she makes it sound poignant. Listening to it I felt like I was not alone and that everything I felt growing up made sense. The stories are strong and manage to reach out and touch the listener even though they are narrated in a light hearted way. All in all I'm very grateful I found this book.

A book for the reckless optamists

As a ‘hartosexual’ I was more than interested in reading this book and I was happily shocked to how detailed and personal this was! Letting me as a listener/ reader delve into the emotions and thoughts of her past and present not to mention it was read by Hannah herself gave it a more personal and intimate feeling. If you read this be prepared to be shocked, to cry, to smile, to laugh and everything else you can think of at her stories of a life fully loaded! Please read this book new to her or not and it may (like me) give you an entirely new perspective on who you see on your screens and in your life as we all grow and change and all try live a ‘punderful’ life! Xx
